This is win and something I will pick up the moment I get the chance. I love all the concept art I see in these forums.

I hate giving negative reviews without specifics, but this just isn't doing it for me. Like, at all, and I can't put my finger on why. Possibly its that they don't look high tech enough? I just don't know. Could we maybe get some sketches with weapons?

Personally, given the background being discussed, I picture their tech as much more - floaty. They don't "wear" armor, they just have armor plates that float in orbits around them and move automatically to block incoming damage. That sort of thing. That would be very difficult to model however.

I think it is really a nice, fresh and original concept. I also like the style of the Froggularians. The Metal + gemstone + stone stuff makes them llok like an ancient, mystic yet technological advanced race. Another race with a similar style are perhaps the Chozo from the Metroid series

I like that too. Very similar to those 5th element dudes. Come to think of it, if they are supposed to be near omnipotent, but few, it feels this should be reflected in their size. We have the somewhat strange concept of rare and precious hordes of aerobic close combat elves already. I am not attracted to the idea of sizable amounts of skinny frogs hopping around on the battlefield. Maybe they could have enslaved races or nicely designed mech drones doing that kind of work, as suggested before.

Like what I see so far on the Frogulans :)

There's one thing that has always bothered me about grav tanks, and was only answered once in an early design sketch for Star Wars and the Droid Troopers tanks; Why when your vehicle floats, should you continue to have a turret on top? The design that captured my eye was a n ovoid with a near-spherical turret in the front, mounted much like a huge chin turret on the gunship helicopters. Come to think on it, a little like Figure 7 on your collection of designs on page 1 of this thread, but with the ball turret underneath.

While this isn't quite where you're now going with this race, I thought I'd mention it for ideas sake :)

I agree but the turret on top still gives height for shooting over stuff, and allowing the tank to hide with just the main gun sticking out. There's many benefits for the turret being on top.

If the tank were spherical you could have the option to undermount the gun or top mount and just explain it as the pilot harness being gyro mounted or no pilot at all so there is no relative up. Just a thought.

Yes they could have some golem/robotic battle automatons who would do the grunt part of fighting.

Fair enough - nevertheless, with a grav tank, you have the option of pop-up attacks to and from cover like a hovering helicopter, which allows the same effect with lower response time for returning fire. Still only a suggestion . . .

Based on my experience with AFVs and helicopters, even a Grav-tank would, as C/walrus mentioned would try to fire from cover and pop-up like a helicopter gunship ... otherwise it would make attacks like an aircraft. Like an A-10, F-15E, etc. ... no chin turret ... only some gunships even have chin turrets ... Of course an alien designer may have the main weapon on a top turret and a smaller turret or two as secondary weapons on the bottom. As long as they were mounted so the Grav-tank could land on some sort of struts, legs, etc. ... with out interfering with the under belly turrets/weapons mounts ... like on a gunship, or WWII B-17, B-24 ... Or a similar design as we see on Tau AFVs ...

How about some kind of articulated weapon on top of the tank as turret? It hovers behind the hill, extends the weapon and fires over the crest of the hill.

Temporal Constructs, Zero-Point Assault Modules, Mobile Sub-Space Arrays.

There's some ideas for not-tanks.
