You are a quick drawer :-). Arms seem a bit too chunky for a race of intellectuals. I was thinking the armour would be much heavier and extend above the neck of the bare toad head. Do you have a front view?

Not very hi-tech. They look very "native", like the Avians.

Why would teleporting superweaponized shooters wear semi armour plates?

Great start.

I like the armour with its gaps, allows more movement, which I'm sure froggies would need. It also potentially provides a much needed weekness.

As an aside, can I request that Kermit is built into the leadership, maybe even a god. He is one our childhood heroes after all.

Nice!

Good overall look, not to modern and that suits an anchient race like the Tzacol. I especially like the "feathers" on the helmet! I think that was neccesary to get the Aztech feel and I was hoping you had found a way to incorporate those.

If they are to be teleporters I would think that they would need som sort of teleporter backpack (like warpspiders). I also think they will look good with som sort of spearlike energy weapon - like your athena defenders...

I wanted this sketch to depict a young and spry Tzacol warrior. I like the idea that the Tzacol go through various stages or life cycles during their long lives. When they're young, they are full of energy and make ideal warriors - but only under the watchful gaze of the elders. Think of it as a parent/child relationship - the young ones are able warriors and eager to defend their territory (some even want to return to the "good old days" when the ruled the the entire galaxy), and the elders oblige them, but only under their ever watchful supervision. When they get older, the Tzacol turn to enlightenment and work to unlock the deeper secrets of the universe, but only after coming to terms with the ultimate futility of violence.

The armor shown features a number of crystal spheres which can capture and hold cosmic energy siphoned into them by the elders present on the battle field. When charged, the armor grants its wearer a multitude of abilities, like shield projection, rapid regeneration, energy emission, teleportation, etc.

When the suit has used all of its stored energy, or moves too far from an Tzacol elder, the crystals loose their glow, and the suit looks and functions much like an ornate, ancient set of armor.

PS - going with the "iron man" analogy - the proximity of the Elders charges up each suits "Ark Reactor" with cosmic energy, which "unlocks" each suits full potential.

Perhaps in game terms, you can have a range of bonus powers for each unit that is unlocked the closer they are to an Elder. Elders could also funnel their own vast power into units directly if they choose instead of executing powers of their own. When fully powered up, they exhibit incredible firepower and defense capabilities. Powered down, they are on par with most of the other races out there...

Well, they are nice looking Incan frogs. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but well executed. I was hoping you would end up more like these ones (but with toad heads I might add): Image Oh well.

A bit too Aztec-y to me. I know it's supposed to be fantasy lizardmen in space, but...does it actually have to be that? If anything, the frog face on the shoulders looks a bit silly and unnecessary/redundant. I do like the colors, however.
