It also shoots mind bullets! :D

Loving it so far. Can't wait for the initial 3D images.

I'd make some sort of almost spiderish legs that dig into the captive and hold them while their vital essence is sucked out. That should be wayyyyyy creepy. People tend to have a visceral reaction to spiders.

Anyone thinking of the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal draining the Gelfings all the sudden? :)

Podlings look like they need the protection of the Tau empire, for the greater good.

Wow, those podlings look like I did the first time I saw the Primarchload. :)

I was actually envisioning something more machine-like in back... like a funny car, all wheels and pipes and conduits and exhaust. Then, in front, rows of Jimmy's spider-leg restraints. And tentacles, lots of tentacles. In other words, lots of mechanical parts that look biological, and lots of biological parts that have mechanical style cues.

The hunched-over beetleback torso has its own intimidation value, don't get me wrong. It's pretty cool, I just don't see "parasite engine" when I look at it. Actually, I thought of Dark Crystal a page early, because your concept sketch looked a lot like the garthim warriors from the movie. It intimated brute strength to me rather than violation, subjugation, and defilement.

Whichever way you go, I think you also need prior thralls surrounding it, along with some still connected up and in the process of being infested and degraded.

Nice ideas - though the machine itself will remain wholly mechanical, I think some of that stuff can be implemented.

OK - so I think I about have it here, so I'm going to finalize it. As for the weapons looking toy-like or not liking the weapon guards or foot rotation, please check out the scale shot to see what the models will look like at scale: (... awesome shots...)

Fair enough :) looking at these great concepts all the time, It is easy to forget the size of the actual final details. Everything is looking great :)
