I hope all those packages behind the white board aren't prepacked sandwiches.
That would mean you are bunkering down for one big painting session. LOL.

I'd say that their big drawback would simply be their numbers - they should always be outnumbered, but each warrior should be like ironman.

Great intel ! I've seen the Aqua alien vehicles before ... and they are not too bad ... But ... Deacon can probably do something more Toad/Frog like-ish ...

I think we should broaden our sources. To simply use meso-american sources, it will be too obvious. If we salt it with a few related cultures, then we'll have something uniquely Frogulan. For example, I was googling some ancient alphabets last night and the Assyrian cuneiform alphabet would look smashing in a hypermagitech army.

Remember if you follow "ancient astronaut" theory(s) ... The region, which the Assyrians lived in [modern day Northern Iraq] ... Their "Gods" in the ancient Mesopotamia/Sumeria region were the Annunaki from the planet Nebiru http://andromida.hubpages.com/hub/annunaki ... And they were drawn as winged upright humanoids with bird heads ... or Reptilian ... http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ann ... &FORM=IGRE just FYI ... ^-^ Some food for thought when designing "new" alien races ... Of course I like the Frog/Toad man idea completely ... 8)

When you see pictures of real life frgos, they're almost always relaxed hunched down. Backlegs folded, ready to jump away from danger at an instant.

Maybe you could design the Tzacol as hunched, like they look they're motionless. But their movement is always teleport. So when they move, it's FWOOOOSH at long distance further, suddenly.

Advanced races won't use legs for motion. They teleport!

To make them have a negative effect, they might need to recharge their backlegs-jump-teleport-engine...

I agree - they should "hop" through space time. They get a movement rate like everything else, but ignore all terrain when "moving"

One thing, If the Tzacol rely on teleportation for movement and have done so for millenia, then evolution would dictate that their legs would be underdeveloped. At least compared to frogs. It's even a possibility that they should on general be physically retarded, while mentaly brilliant... Hutts spring to mind :)

Hi!

I would think the ruling caste would be like that, since their powerful minds would do most task and menial task wold be done by drones or a lesser caste that could even be used as shock troops.

The "hutts" slug like form would be real cool on the "boss" models. :)

Yeah,

I see four ways they would do battle.

Through genetically engeneered clones.
Through battlefield drones, controlled from afar or from a on table drone controller.
Through interfacing their minds with various warmachines piloting them.
Through mercenaries.

Or a mix of all four

Would depend on how long a generation cycle is for them. From the suggested background, I get the idea that they live for many hundreds, if not thousands of years, and that they probably have low to zero population growth, suggesting new generations don't come around that often, so millennia for them might be no more than a few hundred years for us. I mean, you have to go back quite a few millennia on earth to find significant physical differences in humans.

Basically, while you have a valid point, there is enough wiggle room in the premise that I don't think deacon needs to do it if he doesn't want to.

Hey guys! Here's some concept sketches I came up with a possible grunt armor design in a couple of color schemes:

Hi!

I like how the armor looks. It's quite distinctive and very close to what my minds eye imagined they'd look like. :)

I would say the facial features should be a tad more "bulbous", but that a detail best left to the modelling phase.
