This is really close. I know we're trying to stay away from bewbs on these for all the right reasons but I think now that we've got a ridge or point or whatever you call it on the breast plate a small vertical divot or something bisecting it into two parts might
1. break up the monotony of the chest and add some spots where paint and detail can be picked up
2. give the impression of femininity while not resorting to gigantic sci-fi bewbs. I think that aspect is part of the hesitance with the boards re: the athena design.

I know there's been some back and forth on the style of the breast plates, whether or not to depict breasts etc., but this is what we're looking at in reality:

Unless I make large, easy to spot bewbs on their armor, they aren't going to show. I tried multiple ways to do this, but they all looked forced and goofy with armor this thick. It'd be like enlarging the cod piece if there was a man in there.

lol - I'd worry more about it if I was doing 28mm or larger... In the end, I hope you dig them.

Absolutely kicka** :)

One small nit - it seems a little odd that everyone except the helmet-less one has ponytails - unless the ponytails are really some sort of helmet decoration?

I quite like those Athenas, personally. :)

You know, if you're doing Athena you really should give the leader a spear :D

These will do nicely!

Veteran troops should have the regulation hair cut like the standard troops, ponytails for the light/scout type forces. I interpret these as helmet plumes.

It's meant to be a helmet decoration. I'll post another version with a pony-tail leader too in a bit to compare.

Thats a good idea - but there will be another unit in Athena armor all armed with polearms...

I tend to agree - the Sisterhood vets should have cropped hair imo - but I'll leave it up to whatever you guys think looks best.

Burn the heretic! :P

But otherwise they are looking awesome, Though choosing between the 2 hair cuts is too hard. They both look great! Maybe have one with the bob, and the polearm team with ponytail. Or vice versa.
