I like the style as well, but I am curious if the Onslaught line will be suitable proxies for other games, or if there will be certain troop types that aren't covered.

See, my concern is this: the models look great, but without an Onslaught rules set or enough model types to fill in the full army lists in other ranges, they're more likely to sit in a box than ever get used.

I don't want to diminish Deacon's contribution to the community, but I get so frustrated when I go and look at miniatures that are supposed to proxy for something but they don't fill out their product line.

There will eventually be a ruleset - but I've got to have miniatures made first. Once I get some full lines, I can release a starter set etc.

Until then - people can use these for whatever they want - so far we have Scouts, Soldiers, Heavy Weapon specialists, Jump Infantry, Bike Riders, and now heavily armored units. There's got to be multiple armies from multiple lines that these can be used for - no need to name them here.

Any love for this torso variant? I like the shield shape on the chest, which mirrors the one on the helmet. Also added shield shaped covers for the shoulder pad joint.

I like this torso more. ONe thing.. why always the armor lines? why not smooth armor plates? Makes the minis look a bit blocky.

Also while the helmet is ok, I would like some more expression there.. when the enemy sees these dudettes, they should look like they mean serious butt kicking business. Im ok with this really... Just mumbling my own :P

I'm feeling that this is an awesome mini but is starting to wander away from the kool mash up of Sci FI and steam punk tropes here. It is a fine example of a crusading knight. However it doesn't thematicly mesh well with what we've already seen. The idea of a heavily armored kick ass warrior woman is great but we need some tweaks I think. Maybe less knight and more gears and pipes?

yeah I agree the shields and stuff aren't as cool as the first version - just wanted to see how it played.

The back will feature some pipes on the power supply.

Hey deacon she looks fine to me as is, we don't want to over think things here, just give use a group shot and move on to the next model. :)

Just my opinion offcourse. :P

Like it the way it looks now. Not sure how it fits in to the rest of a range, but what's in that pic looks great as a stand alone.

This model may not fit into the fluff of the source of inspiration for the range, neither does the bike but then it does not have to. The range is an entity unto itself and deacon can come up with any ideas and take it in any direction he chooses for his rule set and background fluff. As an aside people only need purchase those items from the range that suits what they envisage useing them for. ;)

In addition to being used as proxies in the obvious grimdark game, I'd suggest that you get in touch with Jon Tuffley over at GZG, as well as some of the other major 6mm sci fi games, to get permission to release army stats in those systems for your minis. Rather than creating and maintaining your own ruleset, being compatible and supported out of the box for Dirtside etc is less work and lets your minis find their way onto more gaming tables.

I prefer the unshielded version, though I admit both are beautiful. Produce some with heavy weapons as well and I'd be massively happy. Any thoughts on dropping these on Shapeways in 15mm?

Also, I'm really glad that you are being creative and doing your own thing rather than just producing proxies. I can choose how I envisage a sisterhood army to look rather than how some official fluff dictates. Indeed, I also have options of what sort of army I want, perhaps a recon brigade or perhaps an infantry brigade or maybe an army consisting of an elite grenadier company in heavy armour.

Heavy weapons = yes

15mm may be an option - once I get a handle on a few things, I'll have the time to do that kind of thing.

An unhelmeted version - because, when you are the leader of a heavily armored unit, the best way to show rank is by removing your helmet!
