As you have seen in the Alternative formations thread I have been working along side Mattman to come up with ideas for the representation of formations, that is currently on hold awaiting the team finishing of the more important rules and points cost, which without we will not have a game. I am taking this opportunity to share some of the formations I have come up with to play in the Horus Heresy era with my son. please comment, I always appreciate feedback good and constructive

Using the List my son has his first army of Salamanders 1500pts Mandatory: Praetor 50pts Tactical Detachment with Rhinos 400pts Tactical Detachment with Rhinos 400pts Optional: Heavy Support Detachment with Rhinos 240pts (son just told me they are missing from the book, need to proof read better!!! ![:{[]](./images/smilies/headbang.gif "Headbang") ) Terminator Detachment 250pts Vindicator Detachment 150pts Total 1490pts This has changed so please ignore thanks |

Thought before bed I would put the backings on a Company Card and see how it looked. the colours of the borders and formations will change to match the legions eventually when I have finished them and bought more marines. I also need to find a suitable model to represent the Sicaran Tanks before they are added. Cheers Squiggle

Oh i like these sir very good idea. I've always been a fan of this style of army card. These remind me of the FOW army selection style pages. Also i do like command elements being seperate from the core formation units and not just an upgrade. I'll take a look at the attached listing later. |

Thanks gents, my plan is to produce generic formations, then make legion exclusive formations and attachments a lot of work but it's fun. @ moredakka the inspiration came from FoW and I was planning a whole game based partially on it with a bit of bolt action orders process. |

The Heresy formations look more interesting than the new Codex ones as it seems you mix a lot of different troops under one company. Matt |
