HI guys and sorry for the late reply. I've been a bit busy this weekend hence the lack of response.
Anyway:
The idea was that each of the voulenteers are given responsibility for an entire army book. Since each book's individual styling are meant to reflect the nature of each race, you will be getting pretty free hands to do whatever you want. Basically the only things we need to coordinate is stuff like margins, fonts and other technical stuff like that. The exact look of the layout is pretty much up to you to decide.
The books currently in the works are being done in Adobe InDesign but I see no reason why you couldn't do your book in other programs if you prefer (QuarkXpress etc.) As long as the layout follows a coordinated set of guidelines and the finished result is a high-res printable pdf file.
The text source for the book is just the NetEpic 5.0 word files which you need to transfer to the wide format of NetEpic Gold. We also have some common graphic elements such as logos and various icons. However it is up to you to gather whatever picture and graphic material you find suitable.
For that same reason it might be a good idea if you collect the army you're working on (or at least have access to the models). It is easier if you're looking for a pic of a unit from a particular angle if you can just dig them out of your collection and snap the piccies you need. ...And besides it is probably more fun to work on a book for an army you feel passionate about.

The Adeptus Astartes book has been completed and the IG and Ork boks are close behind. In the works I also have the Chaos and Eldar books as well as some loose material for the Adeptus Titanicus book. I was hoping to have these books ready by summer 2007.
