How does giving orders to this monstrosity work in NetEpic? Reading the rules it seems that it's movement-speed is determined by palsma counters, as is the phase that it's backup weapons shoot in... The main weapons thus seem like the only things you actually give orders to... Is that correct? And, if I give the unit First Fire orders and over-charge the engines, can it still move? If I don't charge the engines it clearly cannot. I really like these rules for the Emperor, they're neat and look fantastically scary... But trying to wrap my head around how it actually functions in-game is a bit difficult since it seems to break the majority of the rules about, well, Just about everything!

Emperor titan isn't given orders. Instead, as you said, the amount of power (plasma) you give to its movement and fire control determines how it moves and when it fires.

Thus, If you overcharge (red plasma) both movement and fire control then the titan moves as if it had charge orders and fires (all weapons, not just the main ones) as if it had first fire orders. Of course, you have to give power to the main weapons as well in order for them to fire.

If you don't give power to movement it can't move. If you don't give power to fire control it can't fire _anything_ even if you give power to the main weapons!

Do I still get to activate the Emperor like normal then? If I put 0 on it's Move, can I tell the enemy 'The Emperor activates and doesn't move, move something else' the way you can with a unit on First Fire? Sorry if these are kinda stupid questions... But the Emperor has a LOT of special rules for it... Cool though they are!

Hi!

Mojarn is correct. The Emperor doesnt get normal orders, like the mega-gargant.

Remember, that if the Emperor titan cannot move, you cannot activate it in the movement phase, only in the first fire phase. You could substitute a model for it.

What else would you expect for something that costs that many points to take?  :D

Imperators can do tons of damage, as I'm sure you've realized, but I've found it's best used in a game of more than 5,000 points. Anything less and it soaks up too many points and you wind up with a small army.

I'd agree with that    they're neat though. I'd totally field one in a game of 4000-5000 points for sure. I was doing the calculations for how much such an army would come in at from my own list of available models. I could do one with 1 Imperator, 2 Reavers, 1 Warlord and 4 Warhounds  for about 5530 points. One of the reavers even comes in at exactly 500 so I could drop it to get back to 5030. It'd be a lot of fun to field though!   :D

Someday I wana play a game of NetEpic just to get a feel for the way it's different then E:A (Which is just about every way possible looking at the rules!) and I shall field my Emperor (I'm gonna find a use for that model someday! I swear it! Even if I have to beg and plead and spend months working on E:A stats for it which work and are fun to use!).

Unfortunately, I'm not sure Imperators will ever work properly in E:A. However, they are a blast to use in SM2/TL and NetEpic.

Hi!

You should use a warmonger class titan, different from the standard emperor class titan but fun!

I have never used one in games less than 6000 points. Usually in games of 8000 and above they make an appearance.

Once I used three! But that was a 30k point game!
