Must be getting old I had a few questions in my mind a while back but I can only remember one now! I'll update this thread when my brain gets in gear once more.
Anyway onto the questions.

Drop Pods PT1 -
When deploying drop pods do you have to deploy the whole company at the same place? Or can you deploy them detachment by detachment?
I can understand the need to deploy them all on the same turn, but do you need to keep all the pods together? Could you not have three assault pods, one support and one deathwind landing for each detachment in seperate locations?
e.g. Space Marine Battle Company deployed by Drop pods.
Assault detachment lands on opponents side of board to attack their artillery.
Devastator detachment lands on your baseline on objective
Tactical detachment and HQ lands in middle of board on objective.
Otherwise it places a limitation on the usefulness of drop pods if the whole company has to drop in the same location.
Drop Pods PT2 -
With the above example do you have to use the drop pods for that specific company or can you use it for other company's?
I'm presuming that you can use them for the purchasing company's support cards (dreadnoughts, terminators)
Could you split the drop pods out over multiple company's? e.g. tactical detachment from tactical co, two detachments from assault co..
Drop Pods PT3 -
What can go in drop pods?
I'm making the assumption that all infrantry can be carried, but what about things like bikes, land speeders and attack bikes? I expect no!
With regards to special cards, can you put characters like chaplins and captains in with your HQ unit as there is spare capacity in his drop pod?

My understanding was that you have to drop an entire company at the same place and time. Ten assault drop pods are just enough to drop an entire company (without support detachments) at once. Since they are a Special Card, you would only be able to take one per company card.
I'm pretty sure drop pods can only hold infatry, but you could make a good argument for allowing them to hold robots and Dreads as well, but that could only happen if you didn't have to drop the entire company together. Otherwise, there wouldn't be room for anything else, since the drop pods can only hold 20 infantry stands.

Hi!
They all must fall in the same general area. Its the limitation versus the deployment via thunderhawk.
You can only deploy infantry in the pods, although I'd make a exception with dreadnoughts since the fluff states they can use them.
