Hi all, I was just wondering why the unit sizes of NetEpic models are different sometimes to those of the new E:A blisters and formations? Also is there extra rules available for new models or do we proxy them to old rules? e.g. IG Heavy weapons count as heavy weapons infantry or create new rules? It would be much easier from a collecting point of view to be able to field units out of the box? My initial example would be Airborne Platoon * 10 Tactical stands & 5 Valkyries Where the storm troopers come in packs of 8 stands and the valkyries in packs of 2.. The other one is Epic Imperial Guard Vultures which come in packs of 4 but your require 5 for a squadron in netepic? Would it be possible to create a sub list nearer to the E:A unit formations so that we can easily swap between the two systems and not need extra models? |

The size difference in formamtion is due to the fact that NetEpic and E:A are different sets of rules. NetEpic formations pretty much match SM2's and thus mirror what blisters contained back then. Since E:A's formations are different, the new blisters contain the current "proper" number of minis. The same phenomenon occured during the switch from SM1 to SM2. I wouldn't be surprised if stats were created for new minis that were introduced in E:A. The same thing happened when E40k was released. It might be possible to create a list that allowed for the current blister compositions, but that might be a monumental undertaking and I'm not sure how you could use the handy dandy army cards with such a system. |

Hi! The unit organizations correspond to the original SM2 TOE's. Mind you even then they did not correspond to the number of minis in a blister, so this is an old problem. Primarch |

Thanks guys, I'll put it on my list of things to think about! Might develop some in house rules for the new formation sizes as well. Yeah sort of forgot that things like manticores required you to purchase a number of blister packs before you had a formation. I'm sure that the current rules will be expanded soon anyway to reflect new models (such as DRM and E:A new ones!) |

Hi! When I make some DRM lists for netepic I will make sure that comapny and unit sizes are "blister pack friendly". ![]() Primarch |
