What is netepic and how does one get into the game?

Netepic (obviously) and Primarch are probably more qualified to answer this than me but I'll give it a try  Netepic is bassically SM2/Titan Legions with a few improvements. Most of the game engine remains the same (like the use of the good old company cards) but some of the bugs (not referring to the Nids here  ) hass been worked out of the original game.If you go to the EpiCentre website you can download the rules, army cards, army lists counters etc. in the download section. This may sound silly, put is it a game you play over the net. Like battletech megamech. Or is it just an alternative ruleset for your epic minis? Thanks |

Hi! The name "netepic" refers to the way it is maintained and updated, via a group of dedicated "net-citizens". Its an alternate rules set for your epic minis, not a PC or online video game. While it is based on the second edition SM rules, it has a serious of major and minor changes to it that makes the game play quite different from its predecessor. Also from my point of view, it is a rules set that has not walked away from fluff in any way. Thus the Squats still live, Robots still walk with the Imperium, and Guard still have Rhinos just to name a few.  dafrca |

Note even the play aids are available. Also note this is version 4.1. 5.0 is in its final stages and IMO much better in presentation and form. I like the EA system but fed up with the changes in fluff and bickering I see on their forum. I am in the process of investigating Net Epic. Any suggestions? or comments? |
