I was wondering if there will be produced lists for some of the new IG armies for Netepic? The new Siegemasters list introduces a whole host of new units for the IG. I suppose it could be done by simply doing some new company and support cards for this army. On the otheer hand the Siegemasters have some special characteristics (like no titans) which sort of justifies a seperate army list. Any thoughts on this? Cheers!

Hi! Currently, no one has brought it forth, mainly because people on the netepic list seem to like the old "vanilla" codex grey guardians. There have been some suggestions for cadians or valhallans, but nothing comprehensive to merit their own list. Of course if you were daring enough to postulate such a list I would see it got included.....  Primarch |

Hi, I have a question: Will Netepic Gold desperate Space Marine and IG Armies like it is in Epic Armageddon??? I would like to see IG Armies supported by Chimeras rather than Rhinos which are SM Style. So Predator tanks, Landspeeders, Whirlwinds ... shouldn?t be available for Imperial Guard players only for SM players. Now after the release of valkyries and stormtroopers IG Armies really have no need to argue  Other opinions??? |

Yes. There may be a "double" system where it is possible to take companies either way (with rhinos or with Chimeras). However, since the majority of active listmembers have been playing since the SM2 era they are unlikely to go away for the simple reason that people don't like to remove options from their existing armies. Mind you, by the same logic one would have to toss out IG assault troops, tunnellers and bikes. |

Hi! Mojarn is correct, we dont make major changes like that because people have their armies pretty set. However, I will be including alternate rules to substitute chimeras for rhinos and prohibit certain equipment for IG or SM use only. So you get your wish... Primarch |

One of the best parts of NetEpic to me is the way it keeps the old alive. I know I thought it funny how my IG army all of a sudden "never had" Rhinos. Our Speeders just vanished, our Squat allies were gone etc. The changes GW makes on a regular basis to both Fluff and Miniatures is enough to drive someone mad. Netepic allows for the use of what we already owned, had painted, had used. I vote for not following GW into the "Lets kill another miniature" way of thinking. dafrca |

Hi! Agreed. Thats why the change will not occur. One of netepic's basic tenets is to never invalidate anyones collection. That said netepic is about options and if some what to use chimeras thats okay, its just not going to be an official additional. Primarch |

Yes, we keep all the old stuff too (like Squats!), because we like them, and have them in our armies ! But we generally follow SM1 Templates for the most part so the only vehicles that the IG and SM have in common are Rhinos, Moles & Termites. We're a bit more of the "strict constructionist" ...
