Hello everybody. I am getting back into epic and want to build an imperial guard force to match my 40k army. Are there any alternative infantry models that are a good match for the current cadian "bubble heads" ? |

Hi! I think IG are the easiest to proxy for. Humans after all. Problem is a lot of vendors don't have pictures of their stuff, which makes choosing difficult to say the least. Primarch |

@ jimmyzimms: I was planning to use those at tempestors/stormtroops .. they look like they are carrying hot shot lasguns  @ Legion 4: the original guardsmen could do, but they are a bit bland, and they seem to be very hard to come by. @ primarch: you are exactly right!! I have considered using "exidus wars" guild infantry, but the pictures they have are just to low resolution to tell if they are worth buying. I have also heard that gzg has a good line of 6mm infantry but I can't find any pictures of them |

I've got a company of EW Guild infantry painted up in the earlier part of my hobby log so you can get a good idea if they work for you having some closeups. Perhaps that will help. The v2 have a closer look to Cadians than the other. |

I think the esu infantry comes pretty close: http://www.tinytintroops.co.uk/Gallerie ... page06.htm Or .. at least they have "bubble"heads I do really like Novan Desert Infantry. They have almost the exact same poses as the cadians, and are quite clearly armed with lasguns. I wonder if one could simply " paint" the desert headgear like a helmet and get away with it. |
