Q1: I assume that a roll of '1' on a morale test is always a failure? Most of my Squats have Morale 2, but many of my command units also have the Inspirational special rule (+1 to morale tests). If Q1 is correctly assumed then this is pretty useless. EDIT: I just saw the special rule Daemonic Quote: Any morale check cause by the unit will fail on a roll of "1." Thus under normal circumstances a morale roll of 1 would not automatically fail. |

Correct. There are also many Special Abilities that cause a Morale check at a penalty, so the Inspirational ability is still helpful. |

Just to be sure. Do Morale checks always fail on a natural roll of 1? (And where in the rules is this written?) |

No, Morale checks do not automatically fail on a roll of 1. A read through of the entire section on Morale (3/4ths of page 42 of the core rules) shows no such rule exists. Thus it does not exist. If there was such a rule, it would be specifically stated, but there is not. |
