Post subject:  Rule Question: Titan defense and Transports

Hey,

our recent game has bourght up 2 rule questions wich we could not solve:

We played Epic Gold Edition

1. A Reaver Titan attacks a Deathwing Terminator: Does the Terminator get a hit from the defense Systems of the Titan? The rules quote only the engaging infantry, actually the Termi was not engaging but defending.

In this epic moment the Reaver rolled a 4 wich totaled up to a 16 Score the Terminator rolled a 12 wich totalled up to 18 and killed the Reaver tiatn with a Headshot!!! Really Epic!

2. I could not find any references how to handle transports wich are destroyed in close combat, what happends to the transported units?

Thanks in advance....

1. It's a good point about the defending units. I would assume that the normal rule would still apply but in practice I always forget about it. Would be good to know from Primarch what the official position is.

2. Unlike hits from ranged shots where there is a bail out roll, if a transport is destroyed in cc then any troops inside die. In other words, get your troops out quickly! ;)

Hi!

The titans anti-personnel weapons are active regardless whether the titan initiated the close combat with infantry or not. So those rolls would be made to see if the terminator is eliminated by them.

Bissler is correct with number 2. :)
