Hi!

I am asking this across several different mediums, since as time goes by it seems there may be some desire for net epic participants to engage in a revision after over a decade from the last one.

Let you voice be heard!

You already know I'm interested. I just wanted to bump this up for any other Net Epic enthusiasts that may have missed this.

Hi!

As of today the vote across the three polling groups (facebook group, mailing list and taccoms forums) is:

45 to 11 in favor of revision.

If the votes for revision reach 50 or the 24th (this Friday) comes around the final tally and decision will be announced.

I've been away, so I'm probably too late, but I voted against a revision. I think that the current rules work very well, barring tidying up a few issues, so I don't see the need to keep making changes and revisions to the rules.

Hi!

Quite alright Irisado, it was a expressed by 13 people counting you. :)

In any event starting one, doesn't necessarily mean finishing one. Sometimes some talk is needed for people to decide on what they really want.

Who knows the 13 may have it "right". ;)

Thanks Primarch :). The thought of thirteen being right though strikes me as being against the run of play in terms of unlucky numbers ;).

Hi!

No worries, like all revisions, its a reflection on what the players base seems to want "now". Not everyone needs to be on board or even participate. If Gold is the epitome of epic for some, then you are welcome to continue using it, given the army cards released I'd say its never been a better time for playing Gold than now.

For everyone else, there is NE6, Net epic Evolution, Net Epic Platinum and all the rest.

Variety is the spice of life after all. :)

What concerns me is that too many sets of rules ends up splitting what is already a relatively small gaming community even more, thus making it harder to find people to play. Multiple sets of rules for the same game can also end up being very divisive (you need only look at NetEA versus EpicUK et al to see that).

One of NetEpic's selling points, in my opinion, is that it has been played to one set of rules (Gold) for quite some time now. I fear that we are going to lose that advantage over EA by pursuing all these other alternative sets of rules.
