Space Marine chapter Hi new to the forum. I've managed to get a load of Epic Space Marines. More than 80 Stands My question is I know most of the game is built around Detachments but how many Detachments make up a Company. Also with the Imperial Guard how many stands make up an Imperial Guard Infantry company. Regards Sean

It depends on the version of Epic you are playing ... In real life an Infantry Company has about 100-150 men, depending on the type of unit ... IIRC, SM2, hence NetEpic ; an Infantry Company, had 3 detachments of 6 stands each, [in the real world this would be called "Platoons"] and 1 Command stand ... but one of the NetEpic Gurus may be able to give you further guidance ... |

Hi! In net epic epic, companies consists mainly of three detachments. The number of stands per detachment varies by army. In Imperial guard detachments in a company of infantry usually have 10 stands. However a heavy company has only 5 stands per detachment. Thus a tactical IG company has 30 stands, plus 2 HQ stands and one chimera/rhino. A Heavy company would have 15 stands plus 2 HQ and one chimera/rhino. In Space marines, the detachment contains 6 stands of space marine infantry. Thus an SM company has 18 stands with 9 rhinos plus one HQ stand with rhino. Vehicle detachments within companies consist of three vehicles while super heavy vehicle detachments consist of one vehicle. Primarch |

Thank you both legion 4 and Primarch Your help is appreciated so 18 stands to a space marine Company will make 180 Stands for a full chapter give or take any oddities like scouts and Terminator stands. Best start buying in more stands LOL Think I can roughly make 3-4 battle company's half a terminator and half a scout company. Imperial Guard I think I have nearly 54 stands painted and another 54 to be finished I'll ry and put a picture up of these. Thanks once again for your help. Regards Sean

The start of my Imperial Guard company Need to finish off anti tank and missile troops for last three detachments and an extra base each and HQ bases.
