Post subject:  Ork Landas, how do you use yours?
My inner Mekboy is willing me to scratch build some Landas. I did think about converting an old Thunderhawk, but after looking back over the rules I noticed that they only carry 7. This got me thinking about their (unpredictable) use. I guess if I'm going to put troops in them and have a few survive the trip then I would have to go with numbers I.E. a clans worth, (probably Deathskulls). This would mean I would need at least three Landas.

This brings me back to my question, how do you use yours? I'd be interested to hear the ways in which you use your Landas? What's in them, how many when do you land 'em?

These Landas are really different, made me think of Orkney Roks. Nice work. I'm aiming for the more traditional Thunderbird 2 look.

MikeT used some 1:144 scale chinook models for his (he'll dispute whether it was actually *my* idea....) they turned out very well

I'd say: go with as much as possible! The special card with 5 landas will allow you to transport up to 35 stands. That's enough for a clan and many cheap support cards (grotz, wildboyz...) to make the break point as high as possible.

Your opponent will surely destroy several landas before they reach the ground with his AA units. That's good for your own flyers (fighta bommas, bommas and supa bomma)!

So my advice: if you play landa, do not field only one. For a real effect, take as many as possible and add as many fliers as possible. Your opponent will have to choose: firing on flyers or on landas... He will surely not have enough AA units to fire at them all. And even if he destroys your landas, your [fighta - x - suppa]bommas should be able to wip his AA units to make you master of the sky next turn :) And do not take your fliers as support cards for the clan in landas, consider this clan will be broken by the end of turn 1.
