Appreciate everything everyone has done to get all the books to gold standard and how much of the information is based on the original rules set (with a few additions).
While perusing the Marine list, I had a few thoughts about some further additions/changes.

Why are Space wolves the only chapter with access to large amounts of Razorbacks? Surely every chapter should be able to transport companies in them? There is the support card with 6 of them on, but how difficult would it be to add a generic Special option card that replaces all the companies Rhinos with enough Razorbacks to transport all stands for say around 1100-1200pts?

Should marines have access to the Predator and Vindicator Companies? Obviously there are legacy issues, but guard got them back in the day because they didn't have the availability of tanks at the time. Now they have Leman Russ Variants and Super Heavies coming out of their ears so don't really need them, and they would surely be more at home in the marine list.

One thing that has always bugged me is the Marine HQ for a Veteran company is only +3CAF compared to the Veterans +4. The other companies with "specialised" HQs have an HQ that is better than the normal men, (Assault HQ +4, to Assault Marines +3, Terminator HQ +7 to Terminators +6) so why not the Vets?

Anyway, like I said, just some thoughts.

Matt

Totally agree with you on the call for Predator & Vindicator companies. It never made sense to me that when they can field these vehicles as support cards that they couldn't have them as companies.

Likewise, I never understood why the Imperial Guard never had access to Titans. Yes, I know they have their superheavies but when you consider that their main equivalent, the Leviathan, is regarded as a regimental HQ, it doesn't make a lot of sense (though there is no rule against it) to field more than one of them each battle. (Also, why don't Marines have Leviathans?

You may have opened a horrible can of worms here Mattman!

I suppose now that there is a baseline with all the gold books comes the opportunity to make some more updates and additions. ;)
Always assumed that guard had access to titans in 2nd ed, the original Warlord card never had an affiliation icon. Even more so when Titan Legions came out and you had Ad Mech allies.
Leviathans are a bit slow and ponderous, don't really fit into the fast moving, rapid strike way space marines are supposed to work.
