Post subject:  Wave Serpents Question

Hullo! I'm at war in the morning and my nephew has asked me an interesting question about Eldar Wave Serpents; can they move through woods?

My feeling is no because no vehicles can move through woods, with the one exception (I can think of) being Gorgons they can't. It doesn't say anything in NetEpic Gold about woods but does mention the effect the Wave has on buidlings.

I do think that if the wave is fired that it could go through woods scattering troops within. Maybe I'm contradicting myself though!

Thoughts please!

Hi!

As a skimmer it could skim OVER the woods, but it could not move through them like a wheeled or tracked vehicle.

The wave field is a template weapon, so it could be fired into the woods, but even though shattered trees would be left behind, it would not be able to move through it. Although it cold skim through it.

Cheers Primarch, you're a gent!

We've set up the battlefield for our game in a few hours time and there are lot of woods. My nephew/enemy is asking about this rule because he was hoping to move those Wave Serpents through the forests and disrupt any of my infantry which would be taking cover there. I thought it was a "no" and your explanation has convinced me I was right!
