Hi! Nearly 16 years ago a long journey began that culminated today. The net EPIC Gold books are finally done and uploaded to the EPICentre here: http://www.netepic.org/netepic.html netEPIC Gold and its books sprung from the epic community and henceforth will remain for the community to enjoy for free, for as long as there are enthusiasts whom care to download it. I remember once saying long ago that if the rules were downloaded once and played it was payment enough for all the hard work. I'm sure there will be many more to download these great tomes and enjoy the game. My deepest appreciation and thanks to the many whom have helped make these books possible. They are the "net" in net EPIC. Without them nothing throughout those nearly 16 years would have been achievable. I salute you!! While the great work of the net EPIC Gold books has been done, in the following weeks the files for net EPIC Gold army cards and an optional book with additional material will be added to the net EPIC library. To all fans of epic, fans CAN matter. All it takes are people to invest to guide their own hobby. As long as this is true, the game of "epic" can be enjoyed in ALL it's incarnations! Hi Primarch, Well done to you and all that poured hours of their time into this project! All contributors deserve the appreciation and plaudits from all epic enthusiasts around the globe. The end product is simply magnificent. Hats off to you all! I for one am looking forward to putting the new rules to good use - starting this weekend! Cheers! |

Hi Primarch, many many thanks. Without people like you I wouldn´t have came back to EPIC especially NETEPIC. I know this has benn asked several times probably but are there any changes compared to the already finished Gold books or let me say is the Tau book still the same since the first release? cheers to all who helped to finish that masterpiece of EPIC

Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this, and in particular to you, Peter. Not only for what you have achieved, but for simply leading the charge and showing that it could be done. I dont think that it is an understatement to say that they entire game of Epic - both second and fourth editions - would not be the same without you and this project. So, thank you. |

Hooray for NetEpic! The commitment spanning over so many years, and pioneering a community based effort, from the earliest yahoo-group (pretty much at the dawn of the Internet as we know it) , really makes this project something you can be proud of. A big thanks to everybody in the community who have contributed with everything from writing rules, playtesting, providing artwork, pictures of painted miniatures, proofreading, server space, and general constructive feedback. It really is quite a remarkable feat, and shows what a bunch of people who are passionate about their hobby is capable of. |

I think its fair to say that if Peter hadn't let me take over The EPICentre at the tender age of 15 then I would never have built up the confidence to start Exodus Wars. The NetEPIC project has been a huge inspiration for me personally and I'd like to thank Peter for letting me be a part of it (all be it a back seat one in recent years). Well done mate, your strong arms have guided and bashed the team over the years into producing a cracking game system with flipping excellent production values .

Hi! I sometimes forget how long its been since we started this project and how young some of you were when it did start.  As I look back, I believe the lesson learned is that it is easy to conform with what a game company does with its game, but quite hard to take the initiative to provide your own support. I confess my naivety when I embarked on this task as to what was involved and how long it would take to accomplish. But youth is bold as well as rash. I've had the honor and privilege to meet and work with many excellent people. Make no mistake, I may have guided the wagon to its final destination, but it has been YOU whom built the wagon in the first place. This achievement belongs to all of you! I'm very proud of all of you for molding desire into reality! Long live net EPIC! Primarch |
