So, after much deliberation, I have finnally decided that it works as follows. please, please tell me if I'm wrong

I hit titan (pas void shields or whatever) so I then say what I was aiming for, correct? then I roll scatter die (3d6 2 dice being distance, 1 dice being direction) and then, do do I count in inches, cm, or damage sqaures where it hits? I dont understand, please help me. this is keeping me and my opponent from using anything heavier than superheavies in our netepic games.

Hi!

Your confusion is that you don't use the standard scatter dice for artillery which have the arrows and the "on target" icons. The scatter dice you use for hit location templates are two special dice with 6 sides, 4 of which are blank and two have the word "up" and "down" on it and the second dice has "left" and "right". Thus you pick a spot and if you rolls the faces with words you "scatter" from the selected spot up, down, left, right and that is where the shot lands.

I could not find a picture of them, but I could take one for you if you if you'd like.

While not available anymore there are custom die services that could make them.

Thanks Primarch,

Ok, so, bassically I get these dice, and then, if/when either or both dice end up with words up, I then scatter? in cm, or by sqaures?

You scatter by squares. For example, you're firing at a Warlord Titan's front and you've decided to aim for the reactor. You roll the scatter dice and one says "Left" and the other says "Down." So, you move one box to the left and one box down, with the result being you've hit the right leg and your opponent now needs to make a 2+ save to avoid critical damage. If instead you had one scatter die blank and the other saying "Down", your shot would have missed completely, because your shot scattered off the template.

Does that help?
