Hi !

The frenchies have some questions about snap fire and Point Defense.

A unit with charge order can be use its PD :
1) ever (and can use its for snap fire)
2) ever but not for snap fire
3) ever and can only snap fire if it is not in close combat
4) only if it is not in close combat (and can snap fire)
5) only if it have not move (and use PD for snap fire)
6) never

A activated unit can be use its PD for snap fire or not ?

Thanks !

Actually, none of those answers is fully correct. Rules are clear on most of this.

A unit with charge orders may use PD, may snap fire with PD, and may use PD against the target of its charge, or against the charger if it was charged. Indeed, you could snap fire PD anywhere along your movement path. However, once it is engaged in CC the normal First Fire rules apply. So a unit in CC would only be able to use its' PD against another target if it is 2 size classes larger than the pinning unit.

In this case, the PD can be used in snap fire (the target do not move) or in FF segment (and need that the unit is two size classes larger than the target) ?

You can always FF with PD, even if you are in base contact. Alternatively you could snap fire as you move into base contact with no penalty.
