hi after a long a deep dive in to the russian army's organization (IG is organized uncanny similar) i have come up with this chart (i know that division and corp can be a mix up by me but it is to make a death korps bigger) ![]() what do you think and is it usable |

Yes, it is usable ... And that is not only valid for the Russians but most Armies.  Generally, an Army is 2-4 Corps, a Corps = 2-4 Divs., a Div = 3 Rgts or Bdes, a Rgt/Bde = 3-5 Bns, a Bn = 4-6 Co. and a Co. = 3-4 Plts.  It's not unheard of an Army having more then 4 Corps and a Corps having more than 4 Divs either.  A 2 Bn Rgt is rarer but it's not unheard of ... And as a matter of fact I based my IG on SM1 MTO&Es and each Bn there only has 2 companies + 4 Bn Spt units ... |

How many BN do you field in your SM1 MTO&Es Imperial Regiment? |

So 6-10 Comp./Regiment In which way you include your SHtanks for example: a SHtank regiment copuld be formed out of 30 tanks 3=Comp. 2-5 Comps/BN 2-5BN/Regiment but I think its a bit silly this way Maybe I will setup the SHtanks like the germans WW2 Heavy Tank BN in 1944(Caen,Falaise) where they had heavy tank Bn with Tiger and Tiger2 tanks about 5 Comp./BN so you have 15 SHtanks/BN 2 armoured and 1 Shtank BN may form a Regiment Sounds that usefull for you guys? |

Yes, we follow the SM1 TO&Es/Lists with a little of SM2, E40K, E:A added ... So 6-10 Companies is correct ... An Infantry Co. must have a minimum of 2 Infantry Detachments/Units as do Armor units. A Company may have up to 4 Detachments(Platoons)/Units ... Heavy Tanks are handled as simply as an Armored Co. may have 2-4 MBT(Russes)Dets/Plts and 0-2 Hvy Dets/Plts. I have some Tank Cos. that have 2-4 MBT Dets/Plts. and the other Co. has 1-2 Hvy Dets. This is simliar to early German Tiger 1 Cos. Where there were 2 Plts of MK.IIIs & 2 Plts of Tiger Is ... Also a Rgt may have up to 8 Dets/Plts attached. So to simulate elements of a Separate Hvy Tank Bn(the way some Tiger I Bns were organized mid-War), you could have your Rgt supported by up to 8 Dets/Plts of Hvy Tanks (like Baneblade/Showdowswords etc.). |

Did you mean with Hvy Tanks Dets/Plts 1 SHT or 3 If you mean 1, I have to include them in my regiment as detachments If you mean 3 I can use/set up an Armoured Comp.(LR) alongside with a super SHT Comp. to form up 1 Comp. Its a bit tricky because if I include 3 or more SHT Comp per regiment I easily get more than 6-10 Comp. |
