Some images will be replaced and there's still a couple of things missing, I've added requests for the specific missing stuff where it is needed in the book. Some stuff I'm still painting up to fill the last gaps, but I figured we might as well get started with the proof reading and the Adeptus Mechanicus book in the meantime.

Proofreading runs untill early March at which time any eratta will be implemented and the book should be considered finished for the time being, so make sure to add your 2 cents before then :;):

Also a very big thanks to Charad and Moscovian who let me use pictures of their Dark Eldar armies from the Raiders book. The Dark Eldar section would have been impossible without your help :).

Hope you like

I for one would like it very much if I could see in the stats summary in the back if a unit is dark eldar/eldar/harlequin. Could be abit ugly but would be more user-friendly.

I like the color of the Dark Eldar list. Very nice. All in all the book looks very beautiful and with less errors than previous books.
Will look more later.

Page 46.

The boxes of the rear titan does not look pretty.

Page 44.

Boxes of Front - Right leg and wing are not where they should be.

Page 43.

Boxes of side and rear are not correct. Lines are wider - Boxes are slightly moved.

The p goes down to low. Solution - Move the whole line slightly up as in page 38 or similar

Both these texts start to far in on the page - Double tab or something..

Quote:

Witch Sight: All enemy firing at the Titan in this combat
phase suffer a 1 To-Hit penalty. In Close Combat, opposing Titans and
vehicles use one less die. If the Titan is immobilized it cannot use Witch
Sight.
Mind Shout: All enemy models within 25 cm must immediately
pass a morale check or go onto Fall Back orders. Rolls of 1 fail
automatically. All friendly units with models within 25 cm can immediately
roll to rally from Fall Back.

Same as page 39 with DOOM

Cheers Pettan :)

I think the double tab was intentional as they are sub-points to a paragraph, but I do agree tht it looks a bit weird. Opinions?

Also I noticed I forgot to left and right allign the text in the Titan section.

Two things.

Would like a comment on these. Especially the first point.

Could make the darkeldar purple, exodites slightly red and so on. I think U get it.

My guess is that you (Mr Warmaestro) are working with the Files as we find effors/changes to fix. Cant we just fix errors that are found and then you can post again the fixed version so that it becomes a work in progress.. The upside would be that different people dont find the same mistakes.

In the end just a suggestion. Do as you wish.

Be well.

1: I see what you mean and I agree that it would make it alot more user friendly. Making the entire row like that would probably look rather messy, but a compromise would be to add some kind of color coded mark beside each row or something. I'll experiment a bit and see if I can come up with something.

2: Yes and no actually: I sometimes do, but the point was that I'd have time to do the Adeptus Mechanicus book while proofreading of the Eldar was going on. I just find it easier for myself if I can focus exclusively on one book at a time and don't have to shuffle between books every other day :)
Generating the pdf and uploading also takes a bit of time, so the question is how many updates would really be relevant in the approx. two week timespan we'd be proofreading anyway. I can do an update early next week if you want though.

Thank you Meistro for quick response.

If you want you can try with some color coding and show the forum a couple of alternatives.

The eldar book is abit of a mess. Its like, Ahh, yes. That unit is nice. What army does it belong to... Offcourse you learn this but for me and im sure some other players it can take an extended period of time until the next time I pick up the book.

With the updating of the armylist. Do as you wish. You have to balance work VS benefit. Since it sounds like we are going back to the books later again what I am suggesting might be over the top. On the other hand it might make it smoother in the end. Dunno. If we have 3 weeks you can make an update after 2 weeks and then we look at it again.

As I said before I think this book looks really beautiful. My hat goes off to you.  :D

Getting ready to the slugfest this summer. Going to kick Gaskrans ass.... BIGTIME!  :peace:

I've not fully looked at the feasibility with the Gold version, but for V5 I just printed specific pages/sections seperately for each Eldar army, and then used a highlighter on the stats pages.  So you end up with your own specific "sub-books" for each race to use at the table, though in this case might need to black out the stats you don't want, but you get the idea.

Another alternativ is to list each army by itself. First two pages if the list in the back is dark eldar, third eldar fourth exodites.... If the same armies can have the same units they will be listed in both lists.. Im sure you get what I mean..

Jesus. What a great idea.  :sign1: Implement that and I will send you the internet cookie warhead gave me a while back! :blues:

This will make the book a couple of pages longer but in the end that shouldnt matter. It will be alot nicer to use.

As a note This might be good in the chaos book aswell.

This Internet Cookie will self implode in five, four, three, two...

I don't like my lists and stats jumbled up together. I'm confused enough.  :oo: Remember...

Confusion leads to anger

Anger leads to punching players in the face

Punching people in the face leads to the Dark Side... Wait! No it doesn't. it leads to the A+E Casualty Department. I always get those mixed up.

So.. Since you dont like your lists jumbled up together you must love my idea! Yeah!! The forum members are in agreement so far. Who will mess up this perfect symmetry.

But...but... the Dark Side is such a nice place to be... you get to wear cool capes and shoot lightning out of your fingers and stuff...

Changing this into several tables is possible, but I'm going to need someone to compile a list for me of exactly which units should be in each list
