the card looks like the phoenixlords are 1 detachment and that there then is 3 other aspect detachments..
and it says phoenixlords are of the appropriate aspect + command/HQ, does that mean I can make a unit of 1 Dark reaper, 1 Dire Avenger, 1 howling banshee
or does it mean I get 1 of each detachment type I field or what?

and if I can take whatever, who would take anything else then 3 dark reapers? (most bang for the buck)

I sorta would have thought that the Biel-Tan should have a card like
4 Exarch stands for 300
+ 2 Aspects
with a slightly elevated breakpoint of 8
or
+3 Aspects
with a break of 10
Seems abit on par with what other armies get in Big card bonuses..

with the Phoenix lords as a Special Card
that is 4 stands of 1 troop of any aspect type (max 1 per aspect) with command/HQ
BP of 4 (all destroyed)
Point Value of 400

No, there should be 3 detachments, each with 4 Aspects + 1 Phoenix Lord.  You get a Phoenix Lord of the same Aspect..so if you take a Dark Reaper detachment it would have 5 stands including one Dark Reaper Phoenix Lord.  The Phoenix lord has the same stats as the Aspect, except their CAF is 8 and they get Command & HQ.  I hope that makes sense :)

Three Dark Reapers is tempting.  That's a ton of fire power, but it's also 950 points and gives up 10VP after a break of 8!  Three Shining Spears is cool, and I like the idea of 2 Avengers + 1 Dark Reapers for a nice balanced 700 point company.  It would also be interesting to try 3 Swooping Hawks...the Eldar Deep Striking a company of Aspects would be a nice turnabout on some armies  :vD

Does that mean that the phoenixlords cant fire in the first firesegment if the rest of the detachment is on advance or chargeorders?

while big formations are generally pretty nice this one seems only so so...
ofcourse shoring up DA squads with 1 stand of +8 CAF is nice (where do you get the +8 CAF though? didnt see anyting in the rules about it.. perhaps Im looking at an old rulesbook again)

Yeah, they can....they just have to maintain coherency with their detachment.

I just double checked the version on the Wiki...the CAF 8+ is there.  I think the explanation is a bit clearer too.
