One of the minor irritations I have with the Chaos book is the Nurgle Plaguebearers.  I can't understand why they became mounted on carrion and given the Skimmer ability.  Clearly neither version of the model fits the description and the classic rules don't support it either.  

I can understand a need to give them "something" to bring them on a par with the other lessor Daemons who all have the same or better stats + an ability, but Fear + Skimmer doesn't sit well.  I would think perhaps a 3+ save & Fear, or perhaps the standard Nurgle "can't be outnumbered in Close Combat" would be a better fit.

Also reminded recently that Nurgling models were produced, but we dont have rules for them.......

Er-hem... I believe I ignored this silly skimmer thing AND even before v5 came out I came up with my own Nurgling rules and changed the armour on the Beasts and Plague Bearers... (after seeing the Plague Marine save changed to 3+, I felt the idea was vindicated.) Also due to Nurgle Daemon Engines (Plague Tower, Plague Catapult and Breath Of Nurgle Rhino's - our call) not having cool rules like Glamour of Slaanesh or Rage of Khorne or extra Chaos Cards like Tzeentch Engines... I allow the Chaos Reward Chards to be played on Nurgle Engines as if they were organic daemons... just a thought.

I like this one a gentle boost that do not change everything :) Skimmer for PlagueBearers is not really appropriate..

I'd be happy to see the Contagion and Breath o' Nurgle descriptions changed to Daemon Engine so they get the same protection too....not that it helps a lot in their cases.  :smile:

Sure change it. I like your current ideas and also agree skimmer ability is silly for Nurgle.

I wonder how many more things like this are around?

A lot less than elsewhere, due to simplicity of force organisation.
