Hi!

Okay, the motors are running and its time for some community input and help.

Graphics

I need pictures of:

A chaos warhound
Slann titans (all)
Tau (all models)

I received quite a few pctures for Sisters of Battle, but if there is any

The instructions for the pictures (these are for titan hit location templates) are a PDF file available here:

I'm using Zap's ultra latest files, but the layout people need the format changed.

Zap, since you have these files ca you take a shot on altering the format as thier instructions need?

I encourage anyone else who wnats to help to touch base with me or Zap for the files.

The instructions (their commandments if you will...  :laugh:) are:

Please consider the following issues, when formatting your word file:
1.Thou shall not use more than one space.
2.Thou shall not use spaces to indent paragraphs.
3.Thou shall not use more than one (carriage) return to achive a page break.

These are the example layout for every table in all army books,which technically speaking are no tables anymore. Just plain text.
Please convert your tables to plain text and rearrange the order of the entries in your tables as shown. Don’t mind Caps or bold settings. The most important thing is to insert the TABS at the right positions.

You can make the tabs visible by clicking on the ¶ symbol.

I appreciate all the help I can get and the faster these things are done the faster netepic gold gets finalized.

I am happy to try reformatting the books.  I do note that we have largely used a single space after a full stop.  Going through and looking for instances of the more normal double space is not something I want to contemplate however.....

I have the Slann Titans.  I have some existing photos but can take others.

Thanks Zap, knew I could count on you as always!  :agree:

The main deal with the files is eliminating the table, just follow thier doc file instruction and you'll be good.

What kind of model did you use for the Komodo?

It's freakin' AWESOME!

While you at it tell me what proxies you used for the different units, most interesting!

If you looked at the instructions for the picture titan I could use photos of those models on the format they mention.

If Juffo and Stephane can contribute so much the better!

Thanks agin, this will go a LONG way in boosting our sprint to the finish!

Slann proxies:

- The Komodo is a Mechwarrior Atlas.  That particular version is a learn to play promo they gave out in droves so should be easy to get, but I have a number of other versions if you have trouble.
- Razorfang = Mechwarrior Vulture II
- Frog Mech = GZG 25mm NAC Powerarmour
- Bullfrog = GZG 25mm NSL Powerarmour
- Battlesuits are various Mechwarrior infantry transposed to Epic bases.  Vanguard = Undine, Gravguard = Achillius, Spawnguard = Grey Death IIRC

I think I need to sit down and write down a full list of proxies for the slann.

There are so many choices out there.  :)

If you need anything to make the process easier for you let me know.

The text reformat takes precedence, get me the pics of your slann proxies when your able.

For Squats, here are my proxies:

IronShield = IronWindMetals Odin tanks
IronHammer = IronWindMetals Odin Tanks with an extra Dwarf WHB bit on top, mines:

GrudgeKeeper can be based on IronWindMetal Hachiman,
mines:
Retributor could also be based on the hachiman chassis.

These are proxys I used from IWM, I know that's original proxies came from MondayKnight Carnivoran Republic Vehicles.

Would you ask whoever is doing the Gold format if it is absolutely necessary to cut out the Contents column in the Company/Special/Support card table?  Similar question for throwing the Special Abilities for each unit under their name in the Summary of Unit Statistics.  This is EXTREMELY tedious to do, and looking at the Astartes Gold book I can't understand why they want it done.  If I have to do this for 12 army books a) I'll go mad   :_(  and b) it'll take ages.

Unfortunately Zap the layout people need precisely that tedious job to be done. The are absolutely aware of the time and tedious nature of it, but it is a necessary job.

If it isn't done they can do it but it will put many weeks and months more on the completion date.

Let me know if you are still willing to take on the task.

Turning the tables into text is relatively easy and I can see why it is needed.  Similarly for the changes to the titan templates.  I reckon those could be knocked over in 2 nights of sold work.  However, I can't see why the column format of the existing army card and unit stats areas needs to be changed.  The existing column format was used quite successfully for the Adaptes Astartes Gold book.

I'd estimate there is something like 30+ hours of solid work to make those requested column changes.  I'll give it some thought, but I really dont have that sort of time spare particularly for something I'm struggling to see the value of.  :sad:

Easy remedy, just do everything you were going to do and leave that part out.

The people doing the job are not native English speakers and I think they didn't understand my question.
