I just received my spanky new EW Bounty Hunters and they are being prepped for immediate inclusion in an Exodite force as my Lethosaurs.  These guys are truly amazing sculpts, and they are very petite.  All these 30x normal size photos are deceiving!

However, on topic, with my order I also got a bag of bonus goodies which I have given the dubious name of "Attack Budgies".

Now, my question is what do we use them for?  Could these be the dangerous bats recently discussed in the Hordes of Evil thread?  Are they new midget Gargoyles?  Hunting Falcons for a Knight Commander?

Note to self. Must get some of those Eldar Exodite Riders.

Perhaps since Njal has a stormcrow familiar then some other Psychics do too.
Tech Magus flying servitor type construct... same as the familiar thing but for Tech Guard.
You could use them as Buzzards/Ravens for diorama or an objective flying over corpses that carry important stuff.
Of course various types of hood ornamentation springs to mind for staff cars and banner polls.

As a model I would tart them up with some extra claws or green stuff and field them as Chaos Furies.

Tom told me, and this is a quote - "The Harkan are like swooping eagles - painted up in tyranid colours could
make good Gargoyle proxies. Statues on Imperial Terrain or Vehicles,
lecturns for Adeptus Ministorium terrain or vehicles, or just critter
swarms."     Got to get me some of those !!!!   8v)

Hunting Falcons for a Knight Commander?

Doesn't the Grey Knight head honcho Daemon Hunter dude Cortez -?- (from the 40K Codex) have a bird familiar too?

You could always just paint them as birds and once you get enough they could be some sort of Wyrd Rouge Psykers animal controlled winged attack like in Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds"

For some reason the image of the Crows picking over the dead Martian Machines in "War of the Worlds" also comes to mind... Tyranid diorama?

I've got enough for 8 stands full of them!  I'd like to come up with a unit (or two) to use them for...hate to see good miniatures without a use

:) I agree 100% with this. Nothing more annoying IMO.

Ok... I can't imagine them as Gargoyles but...

Chaos Winged Daemonic Furies from 40K?

Clouds of Zombified Flesh Eating Birds for HoE?

Or if not Zombiefied why not just Flesh Eating and Crazed for the Dark Eldar?

Frenzied Carrion Ravens for the Space Wolfs 13th Great Company?

Exploding Ninja Attack Parrots for the Orks?

Feral Grot Avian Riding Scouts?

Exodite Shaman-esk familiar guards?
(Don't the Eldar have some sort of Bird of Prey god that saved someone from Chaos? Kane? Whatever. It's too early to care or look up stuff.)

Hope it helps

Exploding Ninja Attack Parrots for the Orks?

I think you're on to a winner there- Orks would make great stereotyped pirates  :agree:  :))

So, when you writing an Ork Pirate list for us?

Gargoyles would obviously be more sensible though, as they look a tinsy bit big to sit on a salty seadogs shoulder squarking stereotypically salty stuff.

Do love those Bounty Hunters.
