hi i know that the ogryns normaly is split up in different regiments faster then you can say "by the good of the emperor" but sometimes they must be used in full company size so what about it i see 3 ogryn detachements plus CHQ (normal with rhino) and a small price drop (the normal you get it as company there for you get it cheaper)

Hi duz.holger,

I've used this one in a campaign before as a Governors personal guard. It did no harm and had a certain coolness to it. (3x Ogryn Platoons, 1x HQ unit. 300 points. Special Card.)

I think also Ogryn's should suffer 'stupidity' as Trolls do if out of command. You could even have a Commissar HQ instead of a normal HQ so as to keep the Sub-Humans in line. The Commissar would be unable to leave that unit or command others. You might also want to put a limit on how many can be taken (x1 Company limit in any force or/and make it a special card) to avoid players taking tons of them in Imperial armies.

As to points value I would suggest not dropping the points cost and argue that your getting a harder to break unit with a free HQ for 300 points.

It also means you can use all those loose extra Ogryn minis that clutter up the place.  :D

Yeah, 3 detachments of Ogryn + a Commissar for 350 sounds about right to me.

In what way send it to you? Do you want a PM with the same info on it? Does it have to be in some specific type of word doc or something? I'm such a Computer/Forum Biff!..

I like the idea of an Ogryn company. You can take a Beastmen company, why not Ogryns too?

Argh, Beastman company! Mutant Chaos Spawn!! Ogryns are loyal as they have simple minds. Stumpies (Ratlings) are as loyal as Squats so belong with the good guys but Beastmen are evil and should be purged from the IG lists.

All my Beastmen have been cast into the Chaos box for... alteration...

Oh, forgot... Hi Dwarf Supreme. Nice to be communicating again. By the way who is this Dave that you should wish to cure his headache?!

Hey, has anyone thought of Ogryns as Merks for Ork BloodAxe Clans?.. except me...

You have to purge yourself of all the current generation GW fluff and cast you mind back to the golden age.  Back then Beastmen were just another variant of Abhumans and for the most part good and loyal Imperial subjects found on many planets of the Imperium.

You can buy Ogryn mercs for Standard Chaos so including them as an option for the Bloodaxes seems pretty reasonable too.

I figure the Bonehead would be on the stand with the Commissar.
