Just been looking at the guard list, v5.1 which also says its the final version? anyhow i've been reading through and think i've found a few issues. Firstly I like the new unit additions but not all unit types are covered in the descriptions eg hydra. Then as far as the stats go, i think some might be a tad off. Eg the leman russ destroyer is supposed to be a long range tank hunter, yet its weapon is equal range of the thunderer and isn't as good.. The weapon name on the griffon is out to. it says its an earthshaker and not a heavy mortar. Also the data card for leviathan says its doomsday cannon is 360 degree? finally the hydra's 100cm range seems a little excessive since its just autocannons but maybe its always been that good. please advise if i'm still looking at the wrong edition. Cheers |

Cheers Hi! Do you have the version that can only be downloaded from the Yahoo group netepic list? In any event there are still several errors/omissions. Most of which you have mentioned. Once the the netepic gold books start coming out, these omissions will be dealt with. Thanks! Primarch |

Cheers I thought the Vanquisher was the super Leman Rus....it gets 100cms and Pen +1. Oh...the plain Destroyer....it used to have 100cm but that was just broken. Probably best to reduce the Thunderer to 50cm....it is way too good compared to a Vindicator and Destroyer. Griffon catch. The Doomsday cannon catch...the table gets it right though. The Hydra (and any AA) need at least 75cm and preferably better to be able to stand up to Tau and Eldar flyers. At 75cm the Hydra would be nearly worthless. It has always had 100cms too ![]() |

Yeah I'm looking at the one from Yahoo group. Reducing range on the thunderer sounds good. I guess i need to play more net epic to get a better appreciation of AA units. Some thing you can help me work on next year Zap ![]() Cheers for clearing those points up |

Happy to oblige! The AA ability does limit the Hydras utility but they do a good job of maintaining an ambrella over a good part of the board. They can work nicely with a Shadowsword to mess with Imperial titans too. Pity the armies with short range AA and bad interceptors! |

Do you think the hellhound will also recieve a boost to bring it on par with the salamander(worse weapon/better stats) and the evil sun's bowlburner? |

Talked about the hellhound in another thread just a couple of weeks ago... And its a typo.. They should have +4 to affect if I understand it all correctly.. Quoting myself and Primarch. Writing in this old thread... The hellhound according to the Adeptum Mechanicus book... Hellhound: This vehicle carries a large flamethrower with volatile fuel to burn its targets to ashes. Use the large teardrop template, and hit any unit underneath on a 4+ at 0 TSM. This weapon ignores cover modifiers to hit. In the list at the end of the book it says that it has 5+ on affect.. So I think that somewhere there is an error... //Pete Hi! I think it was improved to 4+, but we'll edit all that when the time comes. Primarch //Peter |

And it is the way it has always been. In such cases it is better to tone down the new unit rather than mess with a classic. |

My approach to this will be, that as the books reach finalization, we will do last minute editing and changes as we see fit. Our small little group here, whom has put a lot of work into this, will mold the final version. Once each book gets done, I'll cross post to the netepic mailing list for further editing. We are getting closer to achieving the dream of a decade. A full fledged netepic rulebook!! Primarch |

Primarch I'm really looking forward to this. ![]() Hi! Yes, one of the things I wanted was a "e-book" version and a "printer" version. Before anyone runs over to kinkos though, I'm looking into actually making PRINTED books. It won't be cheap, relatively speaking, since I won't be ordering thousands of copies, but I got one quote for around 45 bucks for the each books, if I get around 100 copies. Which is acceptable. The only thing I need to do is perhaps contact GW and see if there is a problem with this. While everything in the book is scratch made and we do not use and GW IP illustrations, pictures, etc. It will contain GW IP names. So its probably good to ask. Note that such books will be made AT COST. I will even make the cost and bill publically available to make clear this is NO PROFIT involved. It would be nice to have an honest goodness rulebook in hand. ![]() Primarch |

while a professionally printed book would be nice, it is far cheaper to ship electrons down here so I'd probably stick with downloads. |

I'll get a gauge on how many people are interested, then decide what to do. Printing books has gotten much easier as the technology has become more accessible. If anyone knows or has more information on potential printer, let me know. Primarch |
