I have played against Ghazghkull Thraka and I find his powers very much overpowered.. The Optional Rules say. "Ghazghkull Thraka: All Ork units within 25 cm may add +1 to morale. Once per game, Ghazghkull may invoke the Waaagh! This lasts for one turn only. Ghazghkull is immune to any damage, all shooting at Orks suffer a -1 modifier and all Orks roll an extra dice in close combat. Requires: 5000 points of Orks." a -1 to shoot at ALL orcs sure is tough. an extra d6 in caf for ALL orcs (vehicles aswell?)is really over the top aswell. In a comparison to other leaders you see that he is quite ?ber-powerful. A change to 25 cm would be better I think. He can still make a really big differance but he has to be in the fray fighting it out himself aswell instead of sitting in a concrete bunker on the other side of the battlefield. Perhaps it was meant to be 25 cm all along. If so the text can be changed slightly... /Peter |

In the White Dwarf rules it was the orks who got the -1 to hit, not the ones firing at them. As a Brucey Bonus though the power rallied all broken units too. Seems a bit more balanced as well as more Orky : ) |

Yeah, the -1 is for the Ork shooting, not shooting at Orks. Remember, it's an option....if you don't think it is balanced don't use it! Around here were don't allow anything from the options book and very few of the optional rules (Command and Flyers only I think). |
