While looking at the army list of squats I found a strange thing. a Warrior Brotherhood costs 750 these units alone a Thunderer Detachment costs 300 a Berserker Detachment costs 150 a Warrior Detachment costs 250 That makes up a Warrior brotherhood.. So if you buy them seperately you actually save 50. Shouldnt you save 50 by buying the company card instead? I also see that she same thing happens for the Ironbreaker Company. I am slightly confused, thought for awhile that its cause of the high breakpoint but the same breakpointrule applies to the cheaper cards. Tell me that I am totally off the mark please. //Peter |

Hi! They normal manner of costing units is different for squats. They have a higher than normal breakpoint than other armies, thus making them very difficult to break. Because of this its actually better to take company cards than the detachment cards. Thus the company card is more expensive since its break point so incredibly high and difficult to achieve (I have seen a brotherhood company break twice in 15 years of gaming). If squat company cards were cheaper there would be no reason to take detachment cards which are easier to break. Primarch |

Hello Primarch. In the rules for stubborn there is talk about the VP:s and Breakpoints as far as I can see. Looking at the high cost and wondering why I have to give you some merit though. The squat cards are very hard to break especially if the squatty player tries to hide some of the big company card/not have them on the same flank/back in reserve but that I guess is talking about tactics. //Peter |

One tactic for squats is to "hide" part of the brotherhood in a Colossus from an ironbreaker company. You have to destroy it to get those last ones. Squats are very few in number they need an edge to keep those high yield units in play. As a squat player you get your brotherhood/ironbreaker broken, you pretty much lose the game. Its not supposed to be easy and there are many tactics to make it even more difficult to break. Thats fine and part of the game. ![]() Primarch |
