Seeing we've heavily updated the Tau list but it hasn't gone Gold yet (right?) should we add rules for the AX-2-2 Tigershark and the Remora fighters before the Gold Edition comes out? I personally am in no hurry to give Tau more airpower (eek!), but it is a shame to have Epic models with no rules. |

Hi I`am searching for Tigershark AX-2-2rules too it`s such a cool model it`s a shame to have a model without stats for a race, with so few models ![]() maybe something like this: -reduce 2 lasc. from the TS drone carrier -2 remoras have to protect the TS from fighters/AA-units -2 can achieve fighter/bomber missions -if Ts is destroyed remove Remoras Remoras: move: 50cm from TS CC: +2 AS: +6 Weapon: Burst cannon 35cm 4/+4/0 -interceptors first have to fight CC against both defending Remoras -AA-units first have to shoot down both defending Remoras surviving Remoras will launch a immediate counter attack against shooting AA-units(counts only for AA-units, not for inf., ect.) if in range -if defending Remoras are destroyed, remaining Remoras have to abandon mission and return to TS to prtotect it. best regards, ule |

The Tigershark AX-2-2 is basically a Tigershark Drone Carrier without the Ion Cannons and the capacity to carry two Remoras. Here is what I was thinking: Tigershark AX-2-2: Move 60cm; Save 3+; CAF +2 Burst Cannons 35cm; 4 Dice; 4+ to hit; 0 TSM AA Seeker Missiles* 75cm; 1 Dice; 4+ to hit; -1 TSM Flyer, Superheavy, *Guided Missiles, Transport 2 (Remoras only), ECM, Remora Control Craft Remora Stealth Drone Fighters: Move 60cm; Save 5+; CAF +4 Burst Cannons 35cm; 4 Dice; 5+ to hit; 0 TSM AA Seeker Missiles* 75cm; 1 Dice, 5+ to hit; -1 TSM Flyer, * Guided Missiles, Drone, Markerlight; ECM, Remote Controlled, Air Cover Special Rules: Remote Controlled: While within 50cm of the control craft the Remoras gain +1 to hit and +2 CAF. Air Cover: While in Base-to-base with its control craft hits must be assigned to the Remoras before hits can be assigned to the Control Craft (eg: if you fire 3 shots at the Tigershark AX-2-2 and only two hit, both hits must be assigned to the the Remoras if they are in B2B with the Tigershark AX-2-2).  You cannot assign more hits to the Control Craft than to the Remoras.  When engaged in CC, the Remoras must be engaged before the Control Craft is engaged.  You cannot assign more combatants to the Control Craft than the Remoras. ECM: An additional -1 to hit the Remoras and Tigershark AX-2-2 while the Control Craft is still active. Remora Control Craft: The Tigershark AX-2-2 starts the game with two Remoras active and two in its hold.  The Tigershark AX-2-2 cannot control more than 2 Remoras at a time.  At the start of the movement phase the Tigershark AX-2-2 may launch one or both of its remaining Remoras if it has less than 2 Remoras in play. Support Card: Remora Stealth Fighter Formation 1 Tigershark AX-2-2 4 Remora Stealth Fighter Drones (2 active, 2 transported) Cost: 400pts; BP: Tigershark AX-2-2; VPs: 4 Both the Tigershark AX-2-2 and the Remora Stealth Fighters are listed as having "Stealth Field Generators".  Stealth on Aircraft would be way, way too powerful in NetEpic so I decided that ECM would better represent the stealth without making them too powerful. What do people think? |

D'oh...staring me in the face. I could see the Remoras acting as an effective shield for close combat, but shooting seems a little less likely. Combined with the -1 from ECM and that the TS is a superheavy as well it is a bit much. Maybe a 1 in 6 chance of hitting a Remora instead? I also think the Remora weapon load and CAF looks way OTT. While in control range they have more firepower than Nightwings and even Doom Wings would hesitate to engage them in close combat! Perhaps the change to targeting, 50cm on the Remora's missile and CAF 0? Do the Remoras fall out of the sky if the Tigershark dies? |

Maybe this Remora: Move 50cm from Ts CC +3 AS +5 Weapons: Burst cannons 35cm 4/+5/0 AA-missles 50cm 2/+4/0 Specials rules: the remoras my be activated during the shooting phase as seperate attack. you may choose a target wihhin 50cm which can be attacked by 1 or 2 remoras during movement the remoras have to stay in base contact to the Ts while in B2B contact the remoras may block incoming shoots at the Ts on a +4 they take the hit instead of the Ts due to the stealth ability both defending remoras may countercharge up to 2 incoming interceptors they have the Hard-to-Hit ability That would reduce the power of the remoras a little bit What about exchanging the AA-seeker-missles from the tigershark with 2 ion-cannons that would be representing that the TS needs nomore airdefensive sytems since it has the remoras with this weaponary:Burst Cannons 35cm; 4 Dice; 4+ to hit; 0 TSM AA Seeker Missiles* 75cm; 1 Dice; 4+ to hit; -1 TSM it would field a quite unnecessary role best regards, ule |

The Remoras are listed as being excellent dogfighters while their control craft is still alive. They are very good at taking down enemy fliers as they are very small and very, very hard to hit. This is why I gave them a fairly high CAF. I made them better than the Barracudas as they are supposed to be better than them (due to the small size and stealth). They are also able to operate some distance away from the control craft. They CAN operate independantly but are not as good. They are always Stealthed, even when the control craft is gone but I thought that was way too powerful for any flier in NetEpic hence the ECM with -1 to hit. They are armed with Burst Cannons and a pair of Seeker Missiles. To make them less scary, we could make the AA Seeker Missiles one shot weapons (to represent the very limited payload) and the Burst Cannons as 6+ to hit (to represent that they are Drones and not very good shots without the control craft). @ulric: The reason it doesn't have Ion Cannons is because the model doesn't have Ion Cannons. All it has are the Missile Tubes and the Burst Cannons. The TS AX-2-2 and its Remoras are very much anti-aircraft units in AI. |

+5 instead +6 for the bust cannons would be better increasse the CAF from 0 to 1 and decrease the bonus(50cm within TS) from CAF+2 to +1 the Remoras should block incoming shoots at +5 maybe better Nobody complains about the Ts stats so I think we/you can fix them cheers |
