Hi there,

I?m a epic player from Germany and my comrades here are not really willing to change to the netepic system by now. May be I`ll be able to convince them in the future, but this is a hard work! One grows with challenges!
They are still stuck to the Space Marine/ Titan Legion game system. And thats my problem:
I have all the offical Eldar rules for this system but in a short minded decision, when the new Epic 40.000 rules have been released, I threw away my Eldar Army Cards. I can reconstruct some of the cards, thanks to some Battle Reports, once printet in White Dwarf. But by now not every card that have been released.
It?s hopeless to find those cards in Germany (ebay). So now I try to find someone who can tell me something about this cards.
Can You help me?

What would you like to know about them?

Actually, if you use the nice cards done by Ulmo, or the beautiful Eldar ones by JoyrexJ9 you can get all the SM2 Eldar cards.  The Guardian, Falcon, Defender, Tempest and Spirit hosts are all the same for NE as SM2.  Use the Saim-Hann Wind Rider host as the old SM2 Wind Rider host.  For detachments, just remember Wraithlords replace Dreadnaughts and Pathfinders replaced Scouts and you can get all the SM2 cards.

I think you'll find it's a pretty easy transition from SM2 to NetEpic, and it is worth while.  Good luck convincing your friends :)

I'll second that. The transition from SM2 to NetEpic really isn't all that difficult. In fact, it's probably easier than learning E:A if you're already familiar with SM2/TL.

Thanks a lot for these quick and effectiv replies!

I?m interessted in:

moral values: are they really 3 on every card? Or do have aspekt warriors have a lower rating?

Phantom Titan Host: I need the exact Points cost
Phantom Titan: Points Cost

If the points of the cards had not changed I?ll take them from NE. The detachment sizes are also the same?

Well for me the NE rules are much more interessting because there is a development behind nearly every rule. And the style how the game is played isn?t really different! Also the community is a blast. Thank the technological advances thanks to the machine god!

For Titans, keep in mind that the points cost depends on which weapons you select. The points are a fixed amount for the chassis, but the cost of the weapons vary. That also leads to the Titan Host also having a variable cost. Take a look at the rules for Titans, which do a better ojb of explaining it.

You talk about the Netepic Rules for Titans in SM/TL there have been fixed costs!

Hi,

Yep, Dwarf Supreme is talking about Netepic.

In Space Marine, all Eldar are morale 3, except Aspect Warriors and Scouts which are morale 2;  a single Phantom titan was 600 pts, I've never seen a Phantom Host.

I'd suggest you could use the Eldar netepic book and cards for Space Marine- should work just fine.

Netepic's very easy for a SM player to pick-up, a much easier read (more concise and integrated) with many awkward SM rules resolved.  There's really no reason not to use it.

You're welcome.  I don't post much, so I'm not so easily distracted as his Dwarfliness is  :;):  as you mentioned the community here is pretty great.  Just some people insist on posting everywhere, and get a bit off-subject sometimes  :p

Anything else you want to know?

Thanks to Ulmo, who sent me a link to a french photoalbum, I were able to finish the puzzle. But without your help, loofnick, and esspecially the Moral Values I still would be in this quest.
So thanks a lot folks!
At the moment I?m trying to create an excel file with all the data, when this is done I?ll do it for Netepic, too. Idea behind it to have something compareable to the Army builder but for free of cause.

Actually, the Phantom Host card did come out with Titan Legions and it was 1200 points!!!!!!  What a HUGE bargain that was :).  Also, the Warlock was 750, and a pair of Revenants was 600.

@zap123: If you just mean the point costs your right! But if you see how many additional victory points you bring in the field then it is not such a big deal! But a Host with the first Titan on charge orders (holofield!!) equiped with two Heat Lances, the second Titan with two Pulsars on FF and a third one with two Vibrocannons on FF is no fun for any other Titan Battlegroup. Don?t believe it? Have a try. Ok, Gargants tend to need a couple of shots more till they blow up.

My old Phantom Warhost had 2 with twin Pulsars and twin Lascannon Wings, and the third with a Pulsar/Tremor Cannon.  Heaps cool, but kinda expensive under NetEpic rules :D
