My favourite army used to have 2 chaos marine legions, 5 thunderhawks, a reaver, a couple of daemon/greater daemon units and cultists  .
Excels against marine shooty armies...

I usually field CSMs, Beastmen, L/Raiders or Rhinos and Predators and then some Chaos Engines of Destruction. A good combined arms force. And if I have the points, a Chaos Cultist Force, too.

Hi!
In the current netepic revision we are trying to distinguish between cultist armies, CSM and "daemonic" hordes. Minotaurs and trolls and similar units are being restricted to more demonic armies or as very small support in other types of chaos armies.

In SM1 (with a little SM2 and E40K mixed it) CSM Legions and Cults are separate templates but can work together. ?And as with all SM1 templates, you can take 0-whatever of certain types of units that can be used in an SM Legion or Chaos Cult. And it varies by Power, too. ?We like it ! ?
