Hello Bans, I got the 5. Your favorite is also mine.
Most work more for the Exodus or maybe even Dracons. I would rather the True Slann not be so brutal looking. I picture them as being powerful but more peaceful in manner.
Something fighting the Tyrinads would be great.
Have the Army card set up on Yahoo group. I already have changes in the works. I have new siloutes for most units. They are hand drawn but look ok at that size.
I am wanting suggestions on fonts. I am thinking of rearanging the info on the back but not sure. I think the four different styles for the races is looking ok though.
I am hoping that the Gold book will have a section devoted to each race. I am still finding inconsistencies as I sort it all out. Most are typos or transposing of words or nuimbers.
It will kill my budget but I am making up an order. The postage to here is what is making it so expensive. I don't want to wait until April when I go back to the US for a while. The Mechs will be the most expensive. I may have to settle for one of each for now.
Still having power problems here so have to make it short.
Gary

Hi Gary,
I've added a bunch of new Slann pictures to my Photobucket for you. Group shot of the Titans:

Left to Right - Razorfang Scout titan, Komodo Dragon, Exodus Stegadon. These are all on standard Epic 60mm titan bases. There's a comparison shot with a Reaver in the bucket too. The minis are all from Mechwarrior and are respectively - Vulture Mk2, Atlas, Ursa.

Yep, although they currently come in random, blind boosters. Although the Ebay trade seems to have slowed down a bit, any of shops selling CMG singles should have them, and quite cheaply. The Atlas is probably the hardest to get, and the version pictured goes for $3 .
Its' been announced that future releases are to be windowed, fixed subjects and it's a good bet you'll see these sculpts re-issued.

Bans, Those are great looking figs. I don't think the 10mm figs do it as mechs though. While great figs they still look like big guys carrying guns. I will keep them in mind though.
Do you have any drawings that might do for Slann? Remember they are more frog like instead of lizardy. I hope you don't mind but I am using the others you sent and their mirror images. They look fantastic! I am picking up all sorts of images and photos. There is room for lots more!
I am going to send the book up for review next week ,I think. (with space for art work.) I hope to have better photos but I want to see if I am on the right track. It is becoming a rather large file.
I have put the Titans on hold. They have turned into the hardest part.
I will post a few sample pages (ones with possible changes and art work).
I split each army into its own section. Maybe someone will develope them further at a later date. I think Exodus and Dracon are pretty well wrapped up except for fotos. The first three have an Aztec Mayan theme. Not happy with the Necron look yet. It still hints to the Aztec idea but needs something else?
I think the DRM Kraytonians are good for Sauras and skinks but need a 10mm reptile figs for the Kroxigor.
I am going with DRM Kratinian tanks for Necrons.
Really looking at the EW wheeled vehicles for the Exodus. (suposed to be some nice dunebuggies released in Feb.) The DRM ones are also good. (of all their great models I think they are a bit high on the price side but maybe that is me and my small budget speaking).
Aircraft... I have no idea... lots of nice ones. Someone else needs to try to get me some photos. I may ask DRM if I can use their photos.
Except for fliers, I hope to have a complete army by the end of May. I am shooting for release of the Slann book by May 26 (my birthday). That is unless it is needed sooner.
Every one, thanks for the help and keep it coming. Keep an eye on the Yahoo NetEpic group for photos of my armies and updates as to how the book is progressing.
Gary

Here's my first detachment of Frog mechs. I have the arms for the rest of the company now so should finish them soon. I have also done a Bullfrog but the camera needs a recharge, so picture soon.

Feel free to crop it Gary

Nice figs Zap. Not crazy about the hand weapons but havent seen anything better either. If only it had one weapon that could pass for a conversion cannon... The two launchers fit more with the Bullfrog but I am just being picky. They do look great. I will crop and include one for now. I can't wait to see the others. Gary

I did try substituting an arm for a Gauss Rifle from a Mechwarrior stand but it looked clumsy. You can't really see it in the pic, but there is a second weapon barrel protruding under the hand weapon (heavy minigun), so I'll consider that the conversion beamer. There are a couple of versions of this mini carrying heavy weapons that may make a better choice, but I really wanted the neuro-disruptor missiles represented. It is probably possible to do both (for extra $ presumably), and if I make another company one day I'll do this.
