I agree with leaving the artillery rules alone. The more I considered, the more concerned I became. The examples Scream highlighted sealed it for me, especially the Artillery Company. That thing is really nasty against everything as it stands. Making it even better is really not something that I'd like to see happen.

Indeed. I think it is still something worth trying and maybe can be incorporated into the rules with a better understanding when we do the Unobtanium revision in about 10 years

We play a barrage template weapon as a single hit on ANY hit location template.
As we were young we said" a Titan/whatever is so mighty, so just the impact point of a barrage/template is able to affaect the armour.

Indeed making barrage template weapons shield stripper they HAVE TO increased their point values...not mine.
Remember the Vortex missile inflicts D6 hits on Titans/whatever which means, at least for me, other template weapons do not.

However, I have seen guys laying a barrage template simply OVER the hit-location-template to indicate the hits

Barrage weapons were more effective versus titans in 1st edition, then "nerfed" for second edition. If their efficacy were to be increased against titans a quite steep price increase should be added.
