I can get another load of PDFs made with the ultra-latest changes.  Once I send off the .doc versions to WMN I'll send you some .pdfs of the exact same version.

I just noticed 2 points in the last tyranid rule book:

- Hyeropant (isn't it Hyerophant ?
- rear Hyerodule template is not symetric with the front template, 2 extra legs top zones appeared that do not match too with the side template

Thanks Zap,

I also noticed that the Hierodule overall armor is the same for each side (front/rear/side), deliberate or not ?

Another point about the critical damage regeneration, the main rule says:

Critical damage may also be healed, except for things described as destroyed or blown off. Roll a D6 for each critical damage hit. If the roll is equal to or greater than the critical hit number on the location damage table, the critical damage has been regenerated, otherwise the damage

But finally in the templates explanations, sometimes it's written that you need a 5+ for a 2-4 damage (weapon), sometimes the damage can be regenerated sometimes it's not written that it can be regenerated...finally we have a global rule for critical regeneration but we don't know if it can apply to a critical damage (does the head maximum damage can be regenerated on a 6+ ?)

It could be cool if all the critical damage was clarified ;)

Anyone got the SM2 Tyranid templates handy to check what the saves are meant to be for the Hierodule?  I'd like to send the files off today.

Here they are, in French but for template, I think it's acceptable :)

Hierodule Template
Hierodule Critical damages
Hierophant Template
Hierophant Critical Damages

Yeah, I have the book at home.  Hierodule was 2/3/4 not 4/4/4....maybe that's why no one has been having problems with Hierodules :D.  I'll modify it back to the old values unless I hear a good argument otherwise.

Regarding critical damage explanation, I agree that tables are not clear (no blame to any NetEpic editor, since they were like that since Tyranid supplement was released.) Indeed, in 1995, I inquired GW regarding those tables and the way damage should be handled. Although I can't tell if my letter went on the desk of a studio member, their reply was clear: all damage could be regenerated regardless of the text. Yes, even a leg ripped off can regenerate on a 4+. This special regeneration only affects special damage (CAF or movement penalty, inability to fire, etc.) ; wound counters, taken from usual hits or as a side effect of a critical, are regenerated as usual.

I suggest that we take all table entries and make them in line with regeneration rule. Either we can add "this damage is regenerated on a 4+/5+/6+ in the end phase" to every entry where it has a purpose, or we can remove this statement everywhere, the regeneration of critical hits being covered in the rules.

I just got the PDFs of the updated Army Lists and will post to the Yahoo group later today.

Any volunteer who wants to go through the draft Gold core rules to check for errata should reply here.  Your email needs to be able to accept very large files  :p

Thanks Zap and thanks to all persons who have participated to the new codex and rules book.

I have downloaded the available codex on ML (but did not find the Adeptus Astartes Rule Book).

Will there be a 5.1 Core Rules Book & Optional Rules Book or will we go directly to the Gold book ? As we have a french group that would like to translate in a first time the Core Rules book, we'd like to know if we wait the 5.1 Core Rules Book or if we directly start with something else ;)

I've already emailed a list of typos/ grammatical errors for the core rules to Warmaster Nice.
