How utilitarian. And awesomely funny. We need FB likes and such here.

For those unfamiliar with UK radio 4 programmes, this is an obscure reference to a game of mind-boggling complexity, played out by a panel on the show "I am sorry I haven't a clue".
Alternating, each member of the Panel must present stations and sites with no discernable connection to the previous one, while trying to corner the next person into giving one with such associations. There are numerous variations, rules and sub-clauses which are easily followed by the initiated, but which take a lifetime of familiarity to master . . . . .

Indeed, I am surprised that GW have not kidnapped these fiends in human form and subjugated them to writing the next version of the rules . . . . .

Should also add that the "rules" for mornigton crescent (which are made up all the time, but never actually exist) are basically that the first person to declare "mornington crescent" wins, which means that at any point, anyone can win.
However, the aim of the game is to be the first person to say it but not to do so for as long as possible. (ie: to say mornington crescent just before someone else was about to)

I should also add that it was my intention that my final post-script note to my own post was going to be "mornington crescent" so yes, rather definitively Zombocom did win the thread and game

I totally disagree with this. The rules are explained at least once a season and its not the BBC's fault if there are technical difficulties whenever they are broadcast.

Personally I would have gone with EA going to EAE (Epic Armageddon Evolution) whilst at the same time passing ourselves off as a small middle eastern country.

Or we could have started along the lines of IEA (Internet Epic Armageddon)

followed by the reintegration into GW with OIEA ( Official Internet Epic Armageddon)

and finally the UK take over (as no one does it better ;) ) to give us UOIEA (United Kingdom Official Internet Epic Armageddon)

I'm pretty sure that due to sub-clause 4-b, paragraph 98 of the 1511 edition of the rules, Zombocom has actually declared "Mornington Crescent!" in an improper manner***, and therefore he has definitively not won the game. Nor has he lost the game either, of course.

*** ref: rules on punctuation when playing the written rather than spoken form of the game in the aforementioned sub-clause.

But the 1511 rules have been superceeded by the Stoddermeyer variant for all international tournament play, and as a internet based community, I contest that Taccoms counts as an international circuit with all rules and penalties that apply in that case.
