Just my two penneth.

Comparisons with other game systems would work fine, assuming that the characteristics of different units were broadly similar between the systems being compared. I very much doubt that this is true for NetEpic and 40K, as there is 20 years of "genetic drift" since 1st Edition Space Marine speciated from Rogue Trader in 1988.

I would be quite interested to see what the results of the repointing project will be like, although I think I'd have an uphill struggle persuading my gaming buddies to use the new system instead of the one they've been using since they were children.

I myself have been contemplating playing NetEpic using E40K/E:A's formation system, as large detachments of identical units has never made a lot of sense to me.

What I wanted with the this particular book is give a home to all these ideas. There have been many through the years. its a shame they sometimes get lost. Of course, that's all they are ideas, untested ones. So they don't alter core (which was a big deal in revision days). Core can only be altered by play test data. Lots of it. So view the current endeavors as just some loud brainstorming. ;)

I'd like to see my d10-based Titan critical hits tables included in the optional rules book.

Use all the d sizes ;D ;D

On a serious note, the damage tables could be expanded but still use a d6. Have some of the lower results give +1 to future damage rolls. Would mean it would take a few hits to actually take down a titan as they would be able to weather some damage.
