Possibly both. By switching to D10 I can introduce more, less severe critical hits and change the distribution. What prompted me to do this is the critical hit table for the Warlord's reactor. I understand that critical hits should be just that, critical, but I don't like that the catastrophic meltdown can occur often. So, I decided to try my hand at rewriting the critical hits. I'll try to dig up the thread I started about two years ago.

Changing the damage table to a D10 is a profound change that would make titans much more resilient.

It would make weapons with damage bonuses all the more useful.

DS, if you are able would you tackle this d10 conversion for ALL titans in the game?

I would really like to include this in the final drafts of netepic gold's optional book and perhaps pitch it as a core rules change in the future.

Actually, if your willing do hem for Praetorians too. Although they seem to need it less, for uniformity sake, its good for all of them to be d10 based.

I had decided not to do it for Praetorians for the reason you mentioned, not really needing it, but for uniformity's sake I will consider doing them as well. I'll finish the Titans and Gargants first before I move on to Praetorians. So far I've only done Imperial and Eldar Titans.
