Good idea. Perhaps we should ask Ulmo if he's ok to have them hosted along with the Gold books?

Along these same lines, does anyone know if a full set of the example cards at the end of the NetEpic Gold rules were ever made? As some have commented on this thread, it's a nice visual to see the unit, or a unit silhouette, when building armies.

Where might a new-to-the-game player find these cards too?

The plan is to do a set of NetEpic Gold cards once all the books have been completed.

Hi!

This is correct. Be patient, WMN has a lot to do and I don't want him to spontaneously explode.... ;D

Aha! No, don't go exploding before you finish those cards. After, either, for that matter.

Keep up the good work.

I've been thinking of doing cards by using SQL and the new .net MVC framework, nothing fancy but usable.

Which type of cards does people like most? the classic silhouette cards or cards where detachments are seen as "picture" x 5 ?
(from the examples in the gold book)

ofcourse with MVC framework the job of making the cards look nice can be done by someone wit ha better artistic talent then me in regular html+css+images =D

No such thing exist. And therein lies the big problem of using silhouettes: You'd have to not only create silhouettes for all the units we know from the classic cards; you'd also have to draw new silhouettes for the rather comprehensive list of new unit additions, some of which have no exact description how to represent (new Squat tanks for example).

Photos have the advantage tht we can simply copy the unit photos from the Gold books which saves A LOT of work. From a graphic standpoint though, silhouettes looks much better as you don't have problems with varying image quality, colours, lighting etc.

No problem of course.
