| Post subject: | Dark alliance and demon army advice please |
Having finished painting undead army now I will be looking to start painting my collection of demons and dark alliance figures. I am looking for advice on painting them. I have all differnt types but I am particularly interested in the cyclops figures and the chaos warrior types as I have also bought some games workshop nurgle demons from their epic range and I am looking to paint up a nurgle type army. Advice and or pics on how to paint that type of colour scheme in 6mm would be most welcome. Has anyone else tried it and with what results? |

What color theme do you want to follow for your army? You don't have to stick to the classic rotten green. You can do a dirty white with the rotten green highlights, or a yellow with green etc. I don't know the depth you go into your painting, but with my burgle guys I put a rusty brown red mix on the metal and lightly dry brush bolt gun metal on the weapons to show they are metal yet really rusty and Decayed. Pick a color you can primer, for instance I primer white then was with Declan mud adding in the black wash on small parts to break it up then Dry rush white over add the rusty metal and any other extras and done. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=21210&start=45 Scroll down this thread of mine a little to get an idea of what I'm talking about. |

I haven't painted the ones you are asking about, but I like how my pink ogres came out. And then my red lizardmen with a blue ink wash came out really nice too. Attachment:

That looks great. One more yellowy/green very slight drybrush might add that little extra umph, but you don't really need to do anything more to it. |
