I thought I would start off the year by posting some great concept for the upcoming Elven Kingdom army. These were done for me some months ago by the talented Christian Schwager. Digital sculpting has already commenced on these guys.

@epic

Here are a few render previews. The weapons are pretty ginormous, but when you zoom out to actual size they look pretty normal. I'm going to print a couple and look at them next to the dread elves and decide if they need to be resized or not. Thicker is usually better for casting and printing though.

I think improving your fantasy lines is spot on ! the cad sculps look awesome and know that the minatures will all have the same size base will make basing much easier.

Just natural progression, and as you say the fantasy line is your best seller, showing your wares and improving your line will get you lots of new customers. ;)

Personally I am not a fan of the oversized weapons, both the sword and the bow. O know you said thicker is better for casting but I think you have overcompensated and gone too big. Good luck though.

Yeah, like I said, I'm going to have a few test printed so I can do some side by side comparisons. My gut is saying maybe like a 33% reduction on the weapons, but we will see when I get the test prints.
