In the far off, future land of me having the free time to do painting projects again, I would really like to have a large fantasy demon army. So it got me thinking about how I would do the basing. I thought about having cracked lava bases, then realized I would actually have to paint the lava, which nixed that.

So then I was thinking, well what would the landscape around a demon army actually look like? So I thought, it would probably contain a lot of flayed skeletons, hence the below:
