Yeah, he is supposed to be an Ogre, so I thought the 9-11mm range would be a good height. We'll see when I get him on Monday or Tuesday.

great sculpt. Hopefully 9mm to the top of the head, as that's perfect ogryn proxy size!

Is this your regular sculptor?

This is a new sculptor I have tried out. I have been commissioning stuff all over the place to get a stable pool of sculptors willing to do 6mm (that I can afford).

I got the sculpts today. The Ogre is a little bit bigger than my minotaurs, but looking at him next to the other 6mm infantry, I am quite happy with the size.

Pictured here Minotaur Clanguard, Ogre sculpt, Wood Elf hero, Blade Demon sculpt

I also go something else from the same sculptor, a test wererat conscript. Unfortunately, it is way too big. It is more the size I would think a 10mm ratman would be. That being said, the sculpt is lovely, and my picture does not do it justice. I am almost tempted to release them in both 10mm and 6mm. 10mm so I could actually make money and 6mm for my own selfishness.

He is going to sculpt the Ogre army first, but I communicated the needed 33% size reduction, so hopefully we work it out so he can do regular 6mm sized infantry as well.

Really looking forward to the wererats! Are they going to have outlandish ramshackle war machines?

Both sculpts look fantastic. It's great you picked this sculptor for my favorite army (wererats). I would love to see more of his/her miniatures. (If he/she can get the size issue sorted out.)

I agree that the sculpt quality is great and very promising!

On the other hand, will he/she be able to maintain the level of detail with the size reduction?
A bit surprised that they turned out so big in the first place to be honest. Doesn't he/she got a ruler?! ;)

You would be surprised, I guess sometimes when you say 6mm people think it is a loose interpretation. He is doing the Ogres first, should be on the wererats by Dec/Jan, so we'll see if we can get the size closer to what it needs to be.

The detail will probably be dialed down, but I think they should still look good, given the technical skill he has. Maybe they will be cheaper...one can hope :P

No doubt about the technical skills shown! Very promising.

I am looking forward to your next updates on this. :)

Detail is great but as MrGonzo said, how can a prof. Sculpter get the scale wrong? I hope you didn't pay too much for a "failed" project.

Your awesome mini line is in danger to get out of 6mm scale. The goblins are ok:ish and the ogre.. But I hope the scale would be more6 than 10.
