Some of these goblin bits n bobs are mentioned in this thread... http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... 37&t=25090[/quote] I like the ideas there. Another thought came as I read his list. Spider riders. |

Okay, working out the casting issues so I can finally find some time to catch up on threads. @Dave They are coming, I promise! Being sculpted as I type. Zombies will be coming next year along with all of the other "wrapup" units. Dwarves will probably not see non-gunpowder artillery though. They will be getting crossbows, as a fair amount of people have requested that. How exactly would people like "Dwarf Veterans" represented at this scale? My fear is that they would look silly, as the entire front of their body would be covered in a giant beard, then they would probably just have a hammer and shield. I am kind of stuck on the goblins. I want to do them as a full side army with trolls and such, but I might not be able to do that till 2015, as I have a backlog of art and other things to release next year. One thought was just releasing the basic infantry like warriors, spears, and archers next year, then filling them out with a complete army in 2015. What sort of goblins are people wanting? The big nose, big-eared cartoony style, or something a bit more restrained? Then again, at 6mm, the proportions of everything is a bit cartoony. |

Dwarf veterans are a tough one to model at this scale. The Ironclads have the shield on their back. How about the veteran shields to the front and crests of some sort on the helmets? Or maybe break up the Ironclad pack into units of shields and units of two handed weapons (making these the veterans)? Definitely happy about the crossbows. Looking forward to getting a Dwarf and Orc army pack so I can start playing some fantasy. The Goblins would be fine either way, because as you say, everything is a bit cartoony at this scale. I look forward to seeing what you have planned for the Goblin expansion. As for the scifi stuff, crew served heavy weapons for the TEF would be nice too. When do you foresee getting some more Komodo tanks in? Thanks! So many minis, so little time... |

Personally, I would prefer a non-GW style.Their cartoon take on goblins, especially the whole night goblin thing has never appealed to me. /Fredmans |

Hi all, Just joined Tactical Command today after checking in to Micro World's website to see if anything new was due out, it is one of my favourite game companies and I have some of almost everything from them for my 6mm fantasy project using Mighty Armies rules. I have everything statted up for the project and know where I am missing suitable figures, so that's the basis of this wishlist: - mounted knights w/ hammers - mounted knights w/ two swords - mounted knights w/ trident - halflings with bows (I'm double-dipping here, I've had this request up on the The Miniatures Page for a while) - more Egyptian-style undead - more beastmen types, including monstrous beastmen (bigger than gian-taurs) - war lions - elves with single axes - dwarf pony cavalry - bears (as above) - human knights on bears - human knights on griffons - demon types (single large ones down to demon hordes) Just my 2 cents! I'll take pretty much anything though, even some of the current lines get re-purposed, and the Dark Alliance will provide some "good" troops and the forces of light will produce some villains. Well, in the near term I can tell you I just commissioned some art for a "Mammothtaur" basically the big daddy of the giantaur with some side howdahs full of faun archers. I think a dedicated demon army is next up for the concept art treatment, so I am definitely receptive to hearing some troop types. I could also see a small Halfling release (no pun intended) in the not too distant future. I will get to all of it someday! |

I'll work on some demon concepts for you, But what you could do is look at the demons from dungeons and dragons. They have an open license for D&D 3.5, I don't know if that translates into monsters and such too... I'm assuming it does because of what Paizo is doing with their miniature line. But theres a heap of cool demons you could make, including the Pit fiend and succubus. All you have to do is pay homage to the company for their inspiration. |

And any love the halflings get will be appreciated. I'll work on some demon army ideas, but off the top of my head - imp hordes, orc-like creatures with flames (may be hard to do in 6mm), and nasty-looking (mutated/flaming) versions of the Nephilim. Oh and hell hounds, smaller ones for packs, big ones (multiple-headed?) as single creatures or small packs. Something with chariots too (maybe being pulled by damned souls) and some war machines - trebuchets with flaming buckets or buckets of skulls. Chris |

The big nose, big-eared cartoony style, or something a bit more restrained? Then again, at 6mm, the proportions of everything is a bit cartoony. Right- In fear of upsetting people in a not-in-a-GW-style (which I hear on more then just this forum, there is plenty of similar comments on Mantic, waseer, dakka Etc..) I personnly think that at 6mm you need the big ears, and pointy nose. Look at the baccus goblins- they are quite silly but not for the facial features! I think that you need the exaggerated features at this scale, otherwise they could just be green children! (same goes for big beards on dwarfs!!) If you are unable to create a whole goblin army at once, then don't force it. Start with some bits and add others later. Not wanting to distract people from MWG figures, but there are plenty of goblin alternatives in mass scale and you would be fighting some all ready very established companies for the buissness and Unfortunately, the others offer very very competitive prices. The figure quality is vastly superior from MWG, but Unfortunately not every one can or will care about that. Same goes for Humans. Many cheaper, but non-fantasy, humans are out there and until you can safely afford to run a risky army, your better off releasing stuff that has no alternative. That being said, here's an idea that could offer out both a alternative plan and allow you keep from people shopping for these alternative miniatures: Do a smaller wave release of both humans and goblins, providing the main things that are missing from the scale. Goblins lack archers in 6mm. The is one place to get them, but they are, (and I will put this as mildly as I can) a bit poo. Selfishly, I have my own agenda for mentioning them first- I am desperate for some DECENT goblin archers for my rather huge 6mm green skin army. As I have NONE! ![]() For the humans, make a wave release/ character pack but larger then what the store stocks now. What 6mm fantasy lacks is (again, there are rather poop alternatives) the fantasy humans that historics CANT cover. I would think that it might contain things like Human on Griffin Human on winged horse/unicorn/Pegasus/my little pony Human wizard Human posh guy with ogre body guard ETC.... With humans there is one problem. Do you go for a German/European/steampunk fantasy troop or for a Saxon/Conan/druid type. Two sets would be ideal, but I do believe that you have mentioned before that character packs are more expensive to set up, and there fore not a great idea! Even I'm not much of a human painter/player but I'd be happy to pay out a little extra for a larger character pack that that a selection of fantasy humans and especially creatures like griffins- even if it was just to add to my amazons/hot chick army. IT would be great to see a 'creature' section of the store one day. All types of riderless creatures, the larger the better, to be able to include them in any army you so wish. Ever thing from dragons, to giants to trolls etc.. The trouble with this wish is that many of those things are available in larger scales, cheaper and still fit in with 6mm scale. I really do hope that you can release a whole goblin army. They are my first wargaming passion and would very much like to double, or even triple my already sizable army! I just hope that I have come out more pratical then what I'm really doing.... GOBLINS- NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW! ![]() |

Daemons could be very useful in scifi too... As daemons or aliens. Would love to see the TEF Infernus back in production (and the other TEF vehicles not yet produced.) But my biggest wish would be to see the range for sale in the UK/EU... ![]() |
