Sorry I missed this one Anthony, I actually do have a naga army down in my plans for the future. As with anything though, it will just take me time to get to it. Now that the warmaster minis are going out of production, I may try to get the more generic fantasy archetypes fleshed out a bit quicker.

As a side note, the Firmament are currently at the moldmakers, and I should have some preview shots of the Dark Alliance up over the weekend.

Oh, great news!! I'm really excited to see what the Naga would look like.

Firmament sound real interesting too. Looking forward to checking them out. Keep up the great work.

Just by way of an update, currently painting up the molemen and elementals for the store, so they should be up for sale relatively soon. They are pretty girthy compared to some other releases so we are looking at a $10/40 fig price point, similar to the Lizardmen Ceratopsid Guard.

Question: Do people want me to forge ahead with new armies, or complete some of the older ranges first? By that I mean adding additional infantry and a centerpiece unit to both the Beastmen and Dwarves, a couple odds and ends to the orcs (Wyvern rider, boar chariot) and seriously expanding the Undead (Zombies, Ghouls, Werebats, Death Knight, Necromancer on a smaller bone dragon).

Personally I would like to see the Naga and other anthropomorphic armies but if they are still in early phases filling out other armies isn't a bad way to go.

I'm torn on this. I can see the value for both. From a business perspective, are you going to increase your customer base by filling out the ranks or by expanding the range by adding new armies, or by doing a little bit of both? From a purely business perspective, I would think that should be the question that you should try to answer.

I had asked some pointed questions about what might be coming down the pike for expanding the current armies and really liked what I heard. So, I think maybe a little of both.

How about running a poll asking "which of the existing armies would people most want to see expanded". I would complete a number of expansions there and release new armies as well. Instead of 3 or 4 new armies a year, maybe do expansions to existing armies and then only release 2 or 3 new armies per year.

By Jove, I think I've got it!!!! Here's a thought; expand the top 2 armies people most want to see expanded, and then release 1 or 2 new armies per year as well.

I don't know what goes into all of it (art, moulds, other costs), so I guess I'm suggesting things without having real experience behind it.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on it....?

P.S. - Currently painting up my lizardman army and having a ball with it. Got some great painting tips for anyone who is interested. Working on about 330 infantry and 25 - 30 cav and warbeasts. I'm about halfway done.

Tough question, i'm really looking forward to the 'forces of dark and light' human armies, as well as high elves. Nagas and evil dwarfs would be good – but maybe these more specialised armies would have fewer codes at release anyway, as they are a bit more niche? This would free up space for expanding other races, if some future races are smaller.

See, I am afraid to make releases too small, as people seem to be more inclined to go after "complete" armies. One other factor is also the time of the sculptor. There are some armies that I definitely want a specific sculptor to work on, but time is always a factor.

I will probably put a 2013 state post up within the next few days. As far as army expansions, next year will definitely see the following: Orc Boar chariot and Orc Warlord on a wyvern. I will also extensively expand the Undead, ghouls, zombies, Death Knights, alternate pose skeleton warriors with scimitars, 10mm Werebats, and possibly a necromancer on a zombie dragon, though I am torn between that and 15mm tall stitch constructs.

Besides the above, I definitely want to release 2 full new armies, which depends on sculptors' timeframes. Most likely Wildlands (art being done now) and either the Elves or the Kingdom of Light. I am leaning towards the latter since the art is already done for them.

Despot,

Is the release of the Dark Alliance army still included in your 2013 release plans?

Also, I approve of your plan to fill-out the undead. However, I'd also like to see you release the Faun for the Woodlands army. Any hope of that becoming a possibility??

Hi Anthony, sorry for the long delay on this one. The Dark Alliance are definitely going to be released this year, if not October then early November. All of the existing armies will get extras next year, or at least that is the plan. It very much depends on he sculptor's time and general sales.
